US Politics - A Society in Meltdown

“Anonymous” sources, the fingerprint of fake news for the gullible.

Like the “anonymous” sources the Don had in Hawaii

Labot thinks Watergate was fake news now, you couldn’t make this shit up.

I believe the identities of the five men who planned to bug DNC offices was reported publically on June 18, 1972. Schoolboy error on your part.

If you knew anything about the history of US politics, which you don’t, you’d know that the stories broken by Woodward and Bernstein of the Washington Post, which were to lead to the eventual resignation of the president, were based on anonymous sourcing.

A basic fact known to anybody with an interest in this sort of subject, but the fact that you didn’t know it is yet more confirmation of how out of your depth you are here.

Your little google-assisted attempt to cover up your lack of knowledge by answering a question that wasn’t asked, is about as convincing and credible as a Donald Trump tweet or a Michael Flynn statement to the FBI.

I am very well acquainted with the Watergate saga. The story however was based on a factual event, the break in at DNC offices which was widely reported at the time. There is absolutely no issue with the use anonymous sources pursuing a real story.

You have great trouble separating fact from fiction, a hallmark of the delusional.

You have great trouble finishing sentences.

Surprising for a “law and order” type.

I expect Donnie will have the same problem.

Christ, you can just imagine @anon7035031’s racist son being in his element at this. He’ll come back with all sorts of weird far right conspiracy shit to feed to daddy.

Don’t bring my family into this discussion you tampon sucking scumbag.

Sorry, mate, you and the members of your little INTERNET “gang” decided long ago that posters’ families were fair game for discussion, so I’ll do what I like in that regard, thanks very much - oh, and you brought your family up in the first place, so, no use moaning now.

Hopefully for the sake of any family you have left back in your former country, you won’t be troubling them this Christmas.

I’ve never discusssed your family mate, so if you have an issue with those who have, take it up with them.

As an aside instead of your insolence you should be grateful to the Nogra who are protecting you in Galway.

Trump thinks all immigrants from Haiti have AIDS and everybody in Nigeria lives in a hut.

Haiti had sent 15,000 people. They “all have AIDS,” he grumbled, according to one person who attended the meeting and another person who was briefed about it by a different person who was there.

Forty thousand had come from Nigeria, Mr. Trump added. Once they had seen the United States, they would never “go back to their huts” in Africa, recalled the two officials, who asked for anonymity to discuss a sensitive conversation in the Oval Office.

But @anon7035031, touchingly, is furious at the very suggestion that HIS president said such, despite people who were actually at the meeting saying it happened. Who to believe, who to believe.

Of course Trump has no form for this sort of thing. No form whatsoever.

You are a very naive individual who obviously never did a productive day’s work in his life. If you had any experience of working in the private or public sector, you would know how ridiculous this story is.

Regardless of the size of the entity, business or government, the one thing all managers /leaders demand of their staff is confidentiality. Maybe Trump said what has been reported or maybe he didn’t (staff who were in the meeting and who are willing to be identified say these comments were not made). I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he made the comments as he frequently uses crude language.

The point which you are spectacularly missing though is what’s said in a private meeting of White House staff should stay private, and anyone running to the press should be fired. I would expect to see heads roll over this and rightly so. It’s the same thing that would happen in any organization, again not that you would know anything about how the real world operates.

The US, just like any country, has the right to decide it’s immigration policy. There are about 1 million legal immigrants to the US each year, and almost 40 million legal immigrants in the country, it’s not as if the borders are sealed. Isn’t it odd how many people still want to come to the US if it’s the terrible country you portray it as?

Will Labane and Sid lay down arms for a few hours and sing Silent night across the trenches to each other?

Interesting view that no whistleblowing should be allowed in big organisations

Nothing wrong with whistleblowing if it exposes criminal activity.
Running to the press because the boss said something naughty or offensive is a different issue, and wouldn’t be tolerated in any serious organization.
Happy Christmas mate.

I will be ceasing hostilities at midnight tonight for 24 hours.
