Not to mention a British civil servant going outside the 5km radius was killing people despite only seeing his family.

Does the study say how many of the unarmed people shot by police in the US are black? That might have been relevant.

It’s not a misleading stat, it’s factual. There are more black people killed per capita than other races in the US. The argument that this is because police like to shoot black people doesn’t stand up to scrutiny. The great majority of police shootings involve people engaged in violent crime, and those shot are just as likely to be shot by a black or hispanic officer as a white officer.
A shameful episode. I wouldn’t be throwing stones though, Ireland still has apartheid towards travelers today.

It’s a misleading stat that purposely ignores the ratio of whites to blacks in the US. Put the two stats together and then compare and then we can get a more realistic picture. You mentallers love an apple and orange comparison.
I think that’s a pretty stupid comparison to be honest. The reason the hospitals don’t have enough is because of the pandemic, same as hospitals throughout the world. The police are over weaponized in the states for sure but thats policy decisions over years, combined with the recruiting from military culture id guess. A comparison worthy of Twitter.
