All the stats about white people dying or blacks killing more blacks doesnt negate that there’s prejudice towards black people by the police. - You can take your pick from one of the three above. Why do more black people kill more black people? Take your pick from any of the three above. … And on you go.
Poverty and cycles of poverty are historical. While many immigrant groups faced it over the years most were able to pull themselves out of it due to their white skin. Black people couldnt even sit in schools/colleges with whites until the 60s.
You cant deny that there’s systemic racism in America and while many whites suffer just as poorly at the hands of neo-liberalism today, there’s been a few hundred years of it against black people.
Black Lives do matter — but all that looting and destruction of poverty is disgusting and stems from poverty.
The big issue in the states since Reagan is the militarization of the police. Most police work is about beating people of colour back into their ghettos and very little community policing. - It’s a force to protect the wealthy from the poor.
