Of course farmers are going to be against any regulation. People will try and get away with anything they can. But if farmers are allowed to ride roughshod over proposed regulations, that has consequences for the rest of the population, because water doesnât stay on their land, it enters rivers and flows from peopleâs taps.
Again, you make another whopping good case for regulation to be dramatically ramped up in the US, this time as regards food. Amazing how an anti-gubâmint âlibertarianâ keeps inadvertently making such good arguments for regulation, which I always thought libertarians hate!

Very interesting words from Senator Chris Coons on MSNBC tonight.
He believes the FBI has transcripts which show âwhether or not (you can imply what he means) Russian intelligence and senior Russian political leaders, including Vladimir Putin, were co-operating, were colluding with the Trump campaign at the highest levels to influence the outcome of our electionâ.

Rachel Maddow made a great point last night.
There were transcripts of the conversations between Michael Flynn and the Russian ambassador.
US law enforcement and intelligence agencies routinely listen in on calls made by foreign government officials in the US.
This is legal under US law.
But if a US citizen becomes part of the call, under the law, they have to stop listening to the call.
It is not legal for them to eavesdrop or spy on US citizens.
Unless they have a warrant.
Which can only mean they had a FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) court warrant to investigate Flynn.
Now, Trump is claiming âObama tapped my phoneâ in October.
So, if he did that, that must mean there has been a FISA warrant to investigate Trump since at least October.
Heâs pretty much unwittingly confirmed it himself.
