US Presidential Election 2016: Sidney's Victory Lap

The Democrats know anyway it will be a stretch for Hillary to get two terms. Paul Ryan is a shoe in in 4 years

You referenced a poll about perceptions of truthfulness.

When it comes to the issue of truthfulness, it’s funny how you only reference polls about perceptions.

You don’t reference actual fact-check studies because you know full well that they show Clinton to be far more honest.

Nah, I meant in terms of EU commissions competencies, the President of the US has been taken the piss for decades.

What Trump said or didn’t say as a private citizen has about as much relevance as your nutty inputs on US politics. Hillary on the other hand voted for the Iraq war and convinced Obama that regime change in Libya was a good idea. Don’t expect Vox to run an article on that anytime soon.

Quoting Vox articles is the same as quoting Fox articles, only extreme nutters would use either in a debate.

She’ll be dead within a couple of years, her doctors will struggle to keep her juiced up until November at this rate.

I don’t reference fact checking studies from extreme left or right wing publications, correct.

She’ll be lucky to make it through the debates. She had another coughing fit in the plane yesterday, apparently the pollen is at very high levels inside her new plane.

I have an interest in this. But my in depth knowledge wouldn’t stretch as far as some of the posters here. But Paul Ryan imo would appeal to the masses and would take a huge amount of the the traditional Irish democratic vote. @anon7035031 what you reckon?. He wasn’t going to touch this campaign as long as Trump was gathering momentum but he will most certainly be in the running next time round

The media have taken some protective measures while on board

Hillary’s public service? As in serving the public? You are the one having a laugh. The days of a politician serving the public are long gone, if they ever existed.

Sign her up for the Limerick job.

The Republicans need to move to the center on many social issues, as increasingly more and more people don’t give a shit about religion. Whether Ryan can do that is debatable, although he is certainly smart enough. He understands the economic issues better than most.

Trump is running for President, pal.

He’s a politician.

Everything he’s said is fair game and a potential issue for him. That’s politics.

It’s pretty clear you believe Trump shouldn’t be questioned on anything that happened before he declared himself a candidate. Given the way you’ve completely disregarded statements he’s made since he’s become a candidate, one can only presume you don’t believe he should be questioned at all.

Hillary Clinton hasn’t claimed to have voted against the Iraq War or claimed not to have been involved in the intervention in Libya.

Trump lies about his “opposition” to both.

Your assertion that he has a “non-interventionist” foreign policy is simply wrong given that he’s already said he has plans to invade both Iraq and Syria.

Every time you post now you’re resorting to name calling. It’s just making you look foolish.

Irish Americans have been ditching the Dems for a couple of decades now. As they moved up the social ladder it was inevitable. Sure you still have your east coast liberal Irish but plenty of the Catholics already pissed off. It’s nothing really to speak of anymore as a block for the Dems.

What’s pulling at the Dems is similar to what the Tea Party movement did to the Republicans. Sanders has energised a base who won’t accept the same old same old. Republicans are quickly learning that they need to engage with African Americans to point out the perverse failure of the Democratic Party to improve their lot in the cities they’ve governed for decades. Ryan is a bit of a charisma vacuum unfortunately but would be a good President.

Facts have never suited you, pal. :grinning:

You do realise, you’ve just clamped yourself?

Well my point was, however she performed or acted in those roles is besides the point. She has acted in those roles before. he hasnt. Hasnt even pretended.

He is a politician and should be seriously questioned on everything he said since announcing his candidacy. Anything he said as a private citizen is somewhat irrelevant as he wasn’t running for office or in a position to influence foreign policy decisions.

Hillary has lied repeatedly regarding the intervention in Libya, something she is more responsible for than anyone.

You don’t quote facts that don’t suit you but do quote far-right conspiracy theories that do.

What’s that about being taken seriously again?
