Iran is fair distance from Israel, surely any rockets they launch will be well flagged and intercepted.

That’s true and gives some level of deniabilty.
There’ll be 100’s of drones and missles fired from Syria in a coordinated attack. Hezbollah will probably let a scatter of rockets loose as well to try and tie up the air defence systems.
A few auld shnakey nukes maybe.
Iran has no interest in a war with Israel- they’ve probably already tried to agree on an acceptable level of response, one that will keep their own hardliners in check without getting suckered into a war. The truth is that both Israel and the Washington neocons have wanted this conflict for years. If iran wont give them an excuse then they’ll probably have to invent one.

Iran would get nowhere with a full-on war with the Israelis. They’re significantly weaker in the sky, water, missile defence systems and missiles. The best they’ll probably muster is a face-saving guerilla attack. Israel would be weakest if there was a military unity pact between the Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt and the Saudis but the chance of them ever agreeing to work together before the world burns itself out of existence is slim.
By christ the world is going to shit. Just need to hold out a few months for Trump to return to office to stop a full scale global conflict

The world is changing. Anyone with half a brain is dismayed at how far into a moral pit the west has fallen. If iran goes in ro back the palestinians, then all bets are off. You’ll have the US, israel and saudi arabia against the rest…with Erdoğan and el-sisi absolutely bricking it, before following their people.
You had bush, clinton and obama cynically murdering away at any leader or nation who dared try and unite the arabs…and then sleepy joe shuffles in and undoes all their hard work. Quite something to behold.
In case you hadn’t noticed, putin just told a 500k strong nato trained army to go shit in it’s hat. Not that much of an achievement when you consider the houthis took about a fortnight to tell the US navy to go and do the same.
