I’m hearing a rumor that friend of the forum Ball Ox may have gotten engaged this evening. I don’t believe it though. Farmer might be able to confirm.

If it is true I reckon Ball may have forgotten to get a card or flowers, panicked and went with a proposal to keep the peace.

I’ll obviously wait for briantinnion to answer himself but I understand he’s hostile to anything that threatens to interrupt the flow and reporting of accurate and timely financial information. Romance with the emotions it brings is one such threat.

I think it lies deeper than that but I applaud any form of dedication.

Each to his own. If I want to do something nice for my significant other I won’t do it when Hallmark tells me to do it, I’ll do it when I feel like it. And I certainly won’t take time out during the busiest time of the financial year to go for dinner on a Tuesday night, no way.
