Not a great defender. His first instinct was to drop off. He always needed a strong presence beside him to actually go and win the ball.
He was far better than Terry. Terry looked good because of Mourinho’s defensive style. Leave him isolated and he was a chump.
Terry was a quality defender mate. He may have been a bit a bollocks but he was a top class centre back
