Rio was the best centre have to play for Man united under Ferguson. Van dijk needs to repeat what heās done for the last 18 months for 3 or 4 seasons to get to Rios level.

I would say Vidic and Stam were probably better defenders at their peak than Ferdinand

Jonathan Woodgate was a cracking defender. A complete wreck though. Ledley King similar.

Youāve fellas on here thinking Roy keane is no good and rio Ferdinand was no good. Aged five I probably knew more than most on here. Ferdinand was a dream boat of a footballer. His reading of the game was unbelievable. Passing unreal and generally just class. He was finished fairly early with the back. One of the best unified players to play under fergie. Anybody that doesnāt rate him is a fool.
