Are the Briggs football people? (mainly)

Their father has Mt Sion connections I believe @Fagan_ODowd would know better than me. Shane did play football for Waterford for years but was a tough nut half back hurling too. Abbeyside / Ballinacourty would be a fairly duel club perhaps to their detriment @Bugsy_Malone would know better than me

Is this his second or third year with the U21s. Don’t know too much about him to know if he is good, bad or indifferent.

Confirmed ACL tear for TDB

That’s shite. Same one?

Yeah.

It’s an old Waterford name, Carthach. The Irish for Carthage. There was a Saint Carthach. The surname McCarthy is derived from it.

Is Tadgh Foley Paul’s son?

Yeah he is. A cousin to the Mahony’s too I believe.

I had some row with his mother at the 1999 County Final.

Was that the one with the free for all brawl.

So true, 62 years of it now, hard to believe really

It was indeed. Kicked off right in front of me. Probably the best row I’ve ever seen at a hurling match. Shame we lost the game though.

Alan Kirwan a son of Anthony

PJ Fanning a son of Pauric

Johnny Burke of Lawlors Hotel Burke’s

I presume Conor Ryan of Roanmore is a son of John who played full back on their championship winning teams in 89 and 90.

And I presume Dean Beecher is related to Mick Beecher who got a couple of runs with the county team.
