@Fagan_ODowd - could you post up a more detailed account of yesterdays proceedings - something along the lines of this effort from 2014.
The 2016 version of this renewed rivalry panned out in similar fashion to the 2014 edition. On paper De La Salle held most of the aces, with county stars Kevin Moran and Jake Dillon, panellists Stephen Daniels, Eoin Madigan, Shane McNulty and Eddie Barrett, veterans Stephen Brenner and John Mullane, and Meath starlet Jack Fagan. The Monasteryman had one trump card in Austin Gleeson and a game but limited supporting cast of whom only Ian O’Regan, Sean Ryan and Midget Roche have seen the inside of a county dressing room and for Ryan and Roche it would be a fairly distant memory.
Sion started well and got off to a three point flyer. An off the ball incident between the Royalists Stephen Jacob and Mount Sions John Dee, upset the Mount Sion rhythm and De La Salle came into the game. Martin Fish O’Neill was unerring on the frees for the Premier Club at this stage (he finished 9 from 10 frees) and kept Mount Sion ahead although Sion were often undone by poor clearances from their under pressure corner backs, Peter Penkert and Aaron Coady. Disaster struck two minutes before half time when Stephen O’Neill failed to deal with a high ball and the hitherto ineffectual Mullane struck for a goal. HT 1-7 to 0-9. Advantage the Redmondites.
The second half was nip and tuck for 15 minutes. Both goalkeepers pulled out top drawer saves. But Mount Sion were getting on top. Two points from wing back John Dee in quick succession gave them the advantage and then a point of preternatural skill from Austin Gleeson seemed to rally the troops and gave them the belief to hit for home. A low ball was driven diagonally across the Mount Sion defence by a De La Sallean. Gleeson ghosted onto it out of nowhere. Controlled it one handed on the run between three players, soloed twenty yards and knocked it over from half way.
That drained what little heart was in DLS out of them and the Stephen St outfit folded. Mount Sion finished out with points from the ever hard working Owen Whelan, Midget and Mark Hoban and topped it off with a Gleeson line ball.
As in 2014 we are a game outfit on our day, but very weak upfront. Can’t see us troubling the Gunners in the semi final, but we are greater than the sum of our parts.

Full time score: Lismore 6-13 Passage 3-19. Lismore were 16 points down at half time. The Shanahans posted 6-9 of the Lismore total - Maurice 2-8 and Dan 4-1.

Is Dan 40 yet ??
I’d say he turns 40 this year, if he hasn’t done so already. I remember seeing him play in the 1995 Munster Minor Final in Thurles. Think that was his last year as a mnor.
Was Eoin Kelly playing for Passage?

No further details. Down in the holiday home for the weekend and just heard the result there on WLR. There wasn’t any great mention of Passage personnel in the match report.
A Jamie Barron inspired Fourmilewater had too much for Mount Sion.
0-23 to 1-13 it finished.
