Waterford Hurling (now incorporating intermediate football) 2013 and subsequent years

Waterford’s traditional colors. White and blue. Justin introduced the blue shorts to make us look a bit tougher (they had been used intermittently since the 80s) but those lads looked tough enough.

Lads are putting in hours in the gym these days to look like that.

Where were the Cheastys and the original Fives brothers from?

Cheasty was from Ballyduff Lower.

Was there not another one with Tom? Might be confusing stories

Waterford men after the game

Cheasty was from Ballyduff Lower. His mother was a Kilkenny woman from Mooncoin. He went to live with his maternal grandparents for a wile when he was a child.

The Fives were all from Tourin, West Waterford.

The snobbery towards the west is a recent invention so?

Do you still have those girly wrists and forearms or has picking up the child put a bit of strength in them?

My grand uncle won All Ireland medals for thinning turnips. Was a great trivia question around here.

A noble talent
