The Glazers wouldnât understand a word that either of those two ingrates say. Theyâll just throw Cadillac on the trash heap and pay Rooney with the money theyâll save.
Unreal how fellas can spin it any way they like. Surely Rooney would have got more money from City or Real so has actually not just done it all for the money. Iâd say the realisation that he would not really have been able to live in any way safely or comfortably in Manchester might have been a consideration.
Money isnât the be all and end all for an awful lot of people in everyday life. Job satisfaction, conditions, friendships etc etc are also hugely important. Why does no one ever consider they are for footballers? Would you take a 20 per cent increase in salary if you were going to get dogâs abuse every day of your life because of it? I certainly wouldnât. And i 100 per cent wouldnât if I was already ridiculously rich.
I think itâs become almost a cynical cliche to say that soccer players are all about the money. Surely multi multi millionaires would care about some other things? I think they would anyway but maybe Iâm naive.
I would imagine that Rooneyâs agent started the leaks in an effort to ramp up the negotiations ala Rio and Keane. Utd called his bluff, he never wanted to leave.
Thereâs nothing more to do than welcome the boy back into the foldâŚ
If youâre going to sit here and call Niall Quinn Mother Theresa you can do that on your own.
Fair play to Rooney, he reminds me of Father Dougal.
Weâre all goin to heaven lads. Waaaay!
He gets the Euros off surely with a 3 match ban.
Delighted.
Same here as he gets the summer off and be fresh for United next season. Capello can hardly pick him as they could be elminated by the time his ban is completed
A Euro 2012 group with England Poland and Czech Republic would be nice.
Whatâs the betting heâll get this reduced on appeal? It was a fairly harmless flick in fairness.
Iâll be shocked if they donât pick him. Enough room in the squad to carry him Iâd have thought. Chances are they wouldnât even use whoever they would bring instead of him in the group stages.
An appeal could lead to a longer ban. The Euros are usually tougher groups to qualify from so Id say its pointless bringing Rooney as they probbably wont even make it by the group stages.
I predict it will be reduced to 2 games on appeal
 While probably true, it would be quite a defeatist attitude for Capello to take.
I cant see the grounds of an appeal. It was fairly blatant what he did .
I suppose he is in Limbo. Either way he is fucked. Hasnt he already said Rooney wont be considered for the friendly they have next month. He has to get his team sorted for a tough group. I wonder does Rooney need to be named in the squad for the ban to apply.
