Wearing of facemasks. Yay, or Nay?

I’ve worn one - and will mostly likely have to from next week on … most of my posts have been in response to replies to me or lads spreading mis-information. Dont get sassy with me because i speak the truth.

He needs to conquer TFK first, once he wins the war here, the world will fall.

He’ll bore everyone to death here the way he’s going

If he hasn’t yet, it’s unlikely he will.

Ah lovely - the country simpletons e-shouldering each other and e-speaking through their teeth to each other in support.

You’re smarter than Breda and Nuala. Well done you.

You’re not - that must hurt.

Yeah, maybe I’ll make up an inconsequential argument I can win to feel better about myself

So much anger my man. Good to see you trying to channel it a bit all the same. Good for you.

What ever makes you feel good pal, i’ll fully support you but will most likely disagree with your stance.

Fuck back under your bed you.

Ah well, you’re trying to channel it my man, you’ll get there.

Bizarre in Dunnes today… 95% of patrons wearing a mask while 95% of staff were not :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:.

I thought they’d have someone on the front asking people to have a mask before entry but there was no one there so I sauntered in without.

It’s personal choice mate, no supermarket wil turn you away,
I was in Jetland yesterday, had no mask with me so carried on without, all floor staff had masks, maybe half the tills but they have a screen, I’d say it was about 60% of the customers, I was definitely in a minority but not huge
If people are looking at it as a badge of honour to go without the mask then I dont know what that says

I don’t think anyone without a mask was looking at it as a badge of honour but then again, I didn’t ask them.

Very few of the floor staff had masks, 1 till lady did.

Lots of people with kids in there and they had masks but the kids didn’t …

Disposable face masks “could be emerging as a new source of microplastic fibers, as they can degrade/fragment or break down into smaller size/pieces” (source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7297173/).

We’ve known for a long time about the risks associated with the inhalation of synthetic fibers. It is linked to various bronchopulmonary diseases (e.g. fibrosis, chronic pneumonia). We’re talking fibroblasts, granulomas, and pulmonary fibrosis here lads. (source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC470268/pdf/thorax00140-0084.pdf)
