Steven Seagal accused of sex trafficking and sexual assault

Steven Seagal, the action movie star, used one woman as a “sex toy” and kept others who were on call 24 hours a day to satisfy his desires, according to a former employee.

Kayden Nguyen, 23, a former model, has filed a £650,000 (€735,000) lawsuit against the star of Under Siege and Exit Wounds.

Miss Nguyen claims she was treated as a “sex toy” and was sexually assaulted three times after applying to be his personal assistant.

The 58-year-old is also said to have kept two Russian “attendants” who were on call 24 hours a day to satisfy his demands.

Miss Nguyen alleges she was hired by Seagal as an “executive assistant” after answering a job advertisement placed on Craigslist in February.

She claims that within a few days of starting Seagal told her that his wife “wouldn’t care” if she was “his lover”.

Miss Nguyen was flown by private jet to the actor’s home in a remote rural area near New Orleans, Louisiana.

She claims that over the next five days, she was sexually assaulted three times by Seagal.

She says that during her first night on the job, Seagal demanded a “massage” and then proceeded to “treat Ms. Nguyen as his sex toy”.

The suit alleges that Seagal and his co-workers with the production company ignored her repeated complaints and the assaults continued, including a “vicious sexual attack” on the second night.

Miss Nguyen claims she fled the house in a taxi on Sunday, February 28, under the pretence of meeting family members.

She was so much “in fear for her personal safety that she left behind everything that she owned, including her car keys, her laptop, her clothes and hundreds of dollars worth of make-up.”

The lawsuit adds that employees of Seagal’s production company refused to return her property because she would not sign a release promising not to sue for the sexual assaults.

As support for the claims, the lawsuit states that Seagal has a “unique physiological reaction to sexual arousal,” which could be corroborated by the other “attendants”.

Before being hired by Seagal, Miss Nguyen was an aspiring model, was enrolled in college and hoped to become an air traffic controller, the suit states.

Seagal is being sued for sexual harassment, illegal trafficking of females for sex, failure to prevent sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and false representation about employment.

On Tuesday his lawyer said: “The lawsuit filed by Kayden Nguyen is a ridiculous and absurd claim by a disgruntled ex-employee who was fired.”

Brit arrested at ‘bestiality farm’

A British tourist has been charged with animal cruelty after he was arrested in a raid on a farm that US investigators said was being used for bestiality.

Stephen Clarke, 51, of Peterborough, Cambridge, was detained at the property in Washington state, near the Canadian border, on Wednesday.

Clarke was arrested with convicted cocaine smuggler Douglas Spink, 39, who is believed to have been running the farm.

Whatcom County Sheriff Bill Elfo said when agents searched Spink’s home, they found a video of Clarke sexually abusing dogs.

He was charged with animal cruelty and appeared in Whatcom County Superior Court on Thursday.

Dozens of dogs, horses and pet mice were seized, along with what investigators described as thousands of images of bestiality.

Assistant US attorney Susan Roe said Clarke had admitted bestiality activities.

Clarke was arrested on state charges for allegedly abusing the dogs.

Spink calls his operation Exitpoint Stallions. An entry on its website reads “Are we unconventional in our approach to stallion care? Absolutely.”

Under Washington law, it is illegal to assist others in engaging in bestiality - and breaking any state law would be a violation of Spink’s release, punishable by up to five years in prison.

SOCCER ace Charles N’Zogbia was arrested yesterday on suspicion of trying to cheat in his driving test by using a ringer.
The Wigan midfielder was nicked as he was about to get into a car with an examiner.

N’Zogbia, 23, whose goal ended Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes last weekend, had allegedly arranged for a pal to take the theory section for him several weeks ago.

Police and officials from the Driving Standards Agency were waiting for him when he arrived for the practical at 8.20am.

A witness at the test centre said: "He was greeted by two officers and investigators from the agency.

“I could hear him being asked whether he had sat the theory.”

N’Zogbia was held in Sale, Greater Manchester, a few miles from his home in Altrincham, Cheshire.

The witness added: “He looked extremely nervous. After five minutes of questioning they led him away and put him in a van.”

Every candidate is recorded on CCTV as they take their theory exam.

It is thought that a member of staff in London noticed a discrepancy with a man filling in a paper.

Fraud by misrepresentation carries a maximum of five years in prison.

N’Zogbia was bailed by police until June.

The Frenchman whose parents are Congolese, made 118 appearances for Newcastle before joining Wigan last year.

On Sunday he scored the last-gasp winner in Wigan’s 3-2 victory over Arsenal.

Britain’s Foreign Office has apologised for a memo by a civil servant suggesting Pope Benedict should open a hospital abortion ward when he visits the country later this year.

The document, which was leaked to the Sunday Telegraph newspaper, also included the proposals that the pope should bless a gay marriage and launch papal-branded condoms when he comes to Britain in September.

The newspaper said the ideas, ridiculing the teachings of the Catholic Church against abortion and contraception, resulted from a ‘brainstorm’ session. It said Britain’s ambassador to the Vatican had expressed the government’s regret to senior officials there.

‘This is clearly a foolish document that does not in any way reflect UK government or FCO policy or views,’ a spokesman for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said. ‘Many of the ideas in the document are clearly ill-judged, naive and disrespectful.’

The paper said the proposals, drawn up by a junior civil servant in a memo headlined ‘The ideal visit would see 
’, were circulated among officials in Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s Downing Street office and at the Foreign Office.

The document, which had a cover note admitting that some of the plans were ‘far-fetched’, also alluded to sex scandals involving paedophile priests in a number of countries by suggesting Pope Benedict should launch a helpline for abused children.

Other ideas included getting the pontiff to perform forward rolls with children to promote healthy living and even performing a duet with Queen Elizabeth, the Telegraph said.

The Foreign Office spokesman said no ministers had been shown the document and it was withdrawn when senior officials became aware of it. The individual responsible had been moved to other duties.

‘He has been told orally and in writing that this was a serious error of judgement and has accepted this view,’ the spokesman said.

‘The FCO very much regrets this incident and is deeply sorry for the offence which it has caused. We strongly value the close and productive relationship between the UK government and the Holy See and look forward to deepening this further with the visit of Pope Benedict to the UK later this year.’

Pope Benedict’s trip from 16-19 September will be the first papal visit to Britain since 1982. He is due to meet the queen and the Archbishop of Canterbury, spiritual head of the Anglican Church.

One of Spain’s leading matadors was seriously injured in Mexico when a 1,100-pound bull gored him in the groin and hoisted him into the air, causing major blood loss, his manager said.

Jose Tomas received a transfusion of 17 pints of blood after being gored by a beast named Navegante in the Mexican city of Aguascalientes.

The bull’s horn penetrated 4 inches into Tomas’ groin :o and punctured a vein and an artery, manager Salvador Boix told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser from Aguascalientes.

Tomas, one of Spain’s most popular matadors, has a relatively rare blood type - A- - and bled so profusely that bullring officials appealed over the arena loudspeakers for compatible donors to come forward for transfusions, Boix said.

Bus Driver Nearly Hits Baby Sitting In Road
Mike Hubbard was on his usual San Antonio bus route just after midnight when he saw a creature in the road ahead of him.

Thinking it was a dog he sounded his horn but then, to his horror, he realised it was a baby in a nappy.

He slammed on the brakes, stopping just inches from the infant.

The incident would almost be unbelievable had it not been caught on a CCTV camera on the front of the bus.

"I was definitely in shock,’ Mr Hubbard told local Texas news station WOAI-TV.

"From a distance I can’t tell exactly what it is. It looks like a dog, something moving around, I can’t really tell what it was.

“I started slowing down and then I noticed it’s a baby in the middle of the street.”

He continued: "To me he looked like he was eight months old with a pamper, just sitting there.

“I couldn’t tell if he was eating something or not. But, his eyes got real big when he saw the big old bus in front of him.”

In another strange twist, as the shaken driver rushed out to check the baby, its father appeared and simply grabbed her and ran off without even thanking Mr Hubbard for his quick action.

The infant has since been identified as Destiny Flores, a young girl who, as a result of the near miss, is now the subject of a custody battle.

The bus company VIA reported the incident, last May, to Texas child protection services who have yet to decide whether Destiny and her two sisters can stay with their parents.

Destiny’s mother Catherine Gonzalez, 25, and her husband are fighting to keep their children, claiming it was just an unfortunate accident.

Mrs Gonzalez said the youngsters were in the living room watching TV and she had no idea Destiny had escaped until she heard a horn and a screeching sound as the bus braked.

“We had the door open, but there’s a screen door. I had the lock on it, but I don’t know, maybe I didn’t put it all the way and she just snuck out. I really can’t even tell you,” she told WOAI-TV.

“It was just an accident, that’s all it was. It’s not like we weren’t paying attention, you know. I could have swore all my kids were in the back watching TV and they were doing fine. It was just the biggest accident and it hurts me.”

Miss Velasquez has a rare condition which prevents her from gaining weight even though she eats up to 60 small meals a day.

“I weigh myself regularly and if I gain even one pound I get really excited,” said 5ft 2 ins Miss Velasquez, who wears size triple zero clothes.

"I eat every 15-20 minutes to keep my energy levels up.

“I eat small portions of crisps, sweets, chocolate, pizza, chicken, cake, doughnuts, ice cream, noodles and pop tarts all day long, so I get pretty upset when people accuse me of being anorexic.”

She was born four weeks prematurely weighing just 2lb 10oz. Doctors found there was minimal amniotic fluid protecting her in the womb.

“They told us they had no idea how she could have survived,” said Miss Velasquez’s mother Rita, 45, a church secretary.

Doctors speculated Lizzie might have the genetic disorder De Barsy syndrome but soon ruled it out as it became clear she did not have learning difficulties.

“They kept on trying to figure out what was wrong with her but we treated her like any other child,” said Mrs Velasquez, who charted her daughter’s health in dozens of notebooks.

She was taken to see genetic experts but they still could not diagnose her.

Miss Velasquez’s case has fascinated doctors all over the world and she is part of a genetic study run by Professor Abhimanyu Garg, MD, at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Professor Garg and his team now believe Lizzie may have a form of Neonatal Progeroid Syndrome (NPS) which causes accelerated ageing, fat loss from the face and body, and tissue degeneration. People with PRS often have triangular and prematurely aged faces with a pointy nose.

He said: "I am aware of a small number of people that have similar conditions to Lizzie but each case is slightly different.

"We cannot predict what will happen to Lizzie in the future as the medical community are yet to document older people with NPS.

“However Lizzie is lucky to have healthy teeth, organs and bones so the outlook is good. We will continue to study her case and learn from her.” Miss Velasquez has helped to write a book about her incredible experiences.

It is due to be released in September

Lord Mayor’s trousers fall down at children’s event

Coun Colin HallThe Lord Mayor of Leicester has offered his “deepest apologies” after his trousers fell down at an educational event for schoolchildren.

Councillor Colin Hall was at Southfields library – known as the Pork Pie library – to take part in a Global Education Summer Showcase.

Pupils from three local schools were present, and when he stood to give a vote of thanks his trousers came loose and fell.

The incident happened yesterday morning.

In a statement, Coun Hall, 46, said: "Whilst giving a vote of thanks, I suffered a problem with my trousers.

"Unfortunately, I had chosen not to wear a belt and the trousers came loose and fell.

“I would like to offer my deepest apologies to anyone who was offended by the accident.”

Coun Hall is hoping to shrink his waistline during his year of office with the help of fitness guru Rosemary Conley.

He currently weighs more than 16 stone and wants to lose up to three stone by next May. He is walking to many civic engagements and has changed his diet.

Coun Hall recently hit the headlines after choosing to stop the tradition of saying prayers before full council meetings, and choosing not to attend a civic service at the city’s cathedral.

Paul Barrett has become the first person to be prosecuted in the UK for bidding against himself on online auction site eBay.

The online scamster was fined ÂŁ5,000 and ordered to carry out 250 hours of unpaid work.

The judge said Barrett only escaped a prison sentence because of the relatively small amounts of money involved and because he had no previous convictions.

A spokesman for eBay said: “We will always work closely with law enforcement agencies to ensure that, on the rare occasion someone attempts to follow in Barrett’s footsteps, they will be stopped and will face the consequences.”

In a practice known as ‘shill bidding’, the minibus company owner used two different logins to bid against himself on items he was selling, forcing bidders to raise their prices.

Sometimes if Barrett actually won the bidding he would leave positive feedback about himself.

By using this process he managed to sell two Mercedes vehicles, a pie and pasty warmer, a cash register, a refrigerated display counter, three mobile phones, a Land Rover and a digital camera.

His plan only unravelled after a buyer complained about a van he had been sold and Barrett’s second identity was discovered.

On sentencing Barrett at Judge Peter Benson, said: “This sort of conduct strikes at the heart of that trust which is vital if this very, very useful commercial medium is to continue to operate successfully.”

Star Bening pulls out of festival as daughter seeks to change sex

HOLLYWOOD actress Annette Bening yesterday cancelled a scheduled appearance at a film festival.

A spokesperson for the Galway Film Fleadh said that the three-time Oscar-nominated actress had pulled out of hosting an actors masterclass at the big film week in Galway “for personal reasons”.

The announcement follows reports in the US media that her daughter, Kathlyn (18) is seeking to change her sex to become a man.

According to the ‘National Enquirer’ magazine, as well as a number of websites, Kathlyn has already been living as a man and has been attending college under the name of Stephen.

Both Bening and her husband, Warren Beatty, are reported to be very upset at their daughter’s decision.

Bening has recently been promoting her new movie ‘The Kids Are All Right’, in which she co-stars with Julianne Moore. They play a lesbian couple.

The organisers of the fleadh confirmed that award-winning actor Brendan Gleeson would fill the gap left by the American actress in the programme and participate in a public interview at the Town Hall Theatre next Sunday.

Ele, no entanto, nĂŁo teria dito como isso aconteceu. Segundo o policial, o menor disse tambĂ©m que sequestrou e deu uma coronhada na cabeça da jovem, que ficou desacordada, mas nĂŁo teria morrido em decorrĂȘncia da agressĂŁo. Eliza estĂĄ desaparecida desde o inĂ­cio de junho.

A arma usada na agressĂŁo seria uma pistola e pertenceria a um amigo de Bruno, Luiz Henrique Ferreira RomĂŁo, conhecido como MacarrĂŁo. Na versĂŁo do menor, Eliza saiu de carro junto com MacarrĂŁo. Um dos advogados do escritório que defende o goleiro Bruno, Monclar Gama, esteve mais cedo na Divisão de Homicídios para ver como estava o menor. O advogado disse, ao sair da delegacia, que não teve acesso ao depoimento prestado pelo adolescente. Ele afirmou também que Bruno estava na casa no momento em que a polícia chegou para levar o menor, e recebeu os agentes. Segundo Gama, o menor permanece na delegacia, acompanhado de um tio.

O delegado Edson Moreira afirmou, mais cedo, que estå negociando com os advogados do goleiro Bruno para que ele seja ouvido na sexta-feira (9) ou na semana que vem. O depoimento deve acontecer em Belo Horizonte ou no Rio de Janeiro. Além de Bruno, pelo menos outras duas pessoas devem ser ouvidas no mesmo prazo. São elas: a mulher do goleiro, Dayanne, e um amigo conhecido como Macarrão.

Nesta tarde, os bombeiros voltaram ao entorno da Lagoa Suja, em RibeirĂŁo das Neves, na RegiĂŁo Metropolitana de Belo Horizonte. De acordo com a equipe que esteve no local, nĂŁo foram encontradas pistas. Na segunda (5), a polĂ­cia recebeu uma denĂșncia de que o corpo da jovem foi jogado nessa lagoa e os bombeiros jĂĄ haviam realizado buscas no local, sem sucesso.

Havia uma previsĂŁo de buscas na Lagoa dos Tocos, que fica na mesma regiĂŁo, mas esse trabalho nĂŁo aconteceu.

Na manhã desta terça-feira, a mãe de criação de Bruno foi ouvida em casa, em Ribeirão das Neves. A conversa foi mantida em sigilo. Ela não precisou ir até a delegacia devido à idade avançada.

Pelo menos 30 pessoas jĂĄ prestaram depoimento. A PolĂ­cia Civil deve enviar um representante nos prĂłximos dias a SĂŁo Paulo para recolher o material que estĂĄ no notebook de Eliza.
Entenda o caso

De acordo com a polĂ­cia, o sumiço de Eliza Samudio começou a ser investigado depois de denĂșncias de que ela havia sido agredida no sĂ­tio que pertence ao jogador Bruno, em Esmeraldas (MG).

Dayane Fernandes, mulher do goleiro Bruno, teria dito, em depoimento Ă  polĂ­cia, que Eliza teria abandonado o bebĂȘ. A criança foi encontrada pela polĂ­cia na casa de desconhecidos e foi entregue ao avĂŽ, pai de Eliza, em 27 de junho.

Dayane chegou a ser levada à delegacia na sexta-feira, 25 de junho. Ela foi detida e liberada em seguida. Segundo a delegada, a mulher do atleta foi autuada por subtração de incapaz.

Na segunda-feira passada, 28 de junho, a polícia vasculhou o sítio do goleiro Bruno, por mais de nove horas. Policiais e peritos fizeram escavaçÔes e vistoriaram o sótão, onde encontraram roupas de mulher, objetos de criança, fraldas e passagens aéreas. Um poço também foi vasculhado. A polícia jå ouviu funcionårios do sítio de Bruno e amigas de Eliza.

O Flamengo anunciou que o goleiro permanece afastado do time durante as investigaçÔes. Em 1Âș de julho, ele disse que estava “muito chateado” com o sumiço de Eliza. O atleta ainda nĂŁo foi chamado para depor.

Doctors insist tiny Nmachi is not an albino and neither of the parents has any mixed-race family history.

Dad Ben Ihegboro, 44, a railway customer services adviser, said: "We both just sat there after the birth staring at her for ages - not saying anything.

“The first thing I said was ‘What the flip?’.”

Nmachi, whose name means Beauty of God in the Nigerian homeland of parents Angela and Ben, was born at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup, Kent.

Doctors there told them she is not an albino.

“She doesn’t look like an albino child anyway - not like the ones I’ve seen back in Nigeria or in books,” Ben told The Sun. “She just looks like a healthy white baby.”

Ben added: "Of course, she’s mine. My wife is true to me. Even if she hadn’t been, the baby still wouldn’t look like that.

“We don’t know of any white ancestry. We wondered if it was a genetic twist. But even then, what’s with the long curly blonde hair?”

Professor Bryan Sykes, head of Human Genetics at Oxford University, said: "In mixed race humans, the lighter variant of skin tone may come out in a child - and this can sometimes be startlingly different to the skin of the parents.

“This might be the case where there is a lot of genetic mixing, as in Afro-Caribbean populations. But in Nigeria there is little mixing.”

He said that both parents would have needed some form of white ancestry for a pale version of their genes to be passed on.

“The hair is extremely unusual,” Prof Sykes said. “Even many blonde children don’t have blonde hair like this at birth.”

Some form of unknown mutation was the most likely explanation, he added.

The couple, of Woolwich, south London, have two other children, four-year-old Chisom and sister Dumebi, two.

Mum Angela, 35, told the paper: “Nmachi’s colour doesn’t matter. She’s a miracle baby. But still, what on earth happened here?”

Party time: Grace Ford dresses up with a different friend before her holiday to Majorca
A private schoolgirl celebrating the end of her A-levels in Majorca is seriously ill after apparently falling 90ft from a balcony.

Grace Ford is thought to have tried to sneak out of a male friend’s seventh floor apartment in the early hours because visitors were banned from the rooms.

But the 17-year-old, who had met British 18-year-old Edward Soppet on a night out in the party resort of Magaluf, fell to the ground, breaking both her legs and her pelvis.

He was arrested when it emerged he had gone back to bed while she lay unconscious seven storeys below, although he was later freed after apparently telling a judge he was unaware she had fallen.

Yesterday, as Grace’s parents waited at her hospital bedside in Majorca’s capital Palma, one official said: ‘Her survival from such a fall was a miracle.’

The teenager, whose father owns a helicopter firm, was reportedly holidaying in Majorca with a group of sixth-form friends to celebrate the end of their A-levels at ÂŁ8,500-a-year Kirkham Grammar School, near Preston, Lancashire.
She is thought to have accompanied Mr Soppet, who was also on holiday, back to his apartment block, called Torrenova, in the Punta Ballena area of the resort.

However, its rules forbid overnight visitors, and at about 5.30am on Saturday he is alleged to have helped Grace climb out of the window when she decided to leave, believing that it led to another part of the block, before going back to bed.

Instead, it actually opened out into a narrow shaft above an internal courtyard, and Grace plunged down seven storeys where she was later found unconscious and taken to hospital.

Police said that they found Mr Soppet asleep in his bed shortly after she was found.

He was accused of failing to help her after the fall and arrested.

After operating, doctors at Palma’s Son Dureta hospital said that Grace’s condition was improving and that they believed that she would recover.
