Wexford GAA 2009

[quote=ā€œKIB manā€]The players seem to do the dirty work in Wexford with regards to heaves etc not the supporters who turn up in their droves* to watch the county football team in Croke Park

Interestingly Ger Cush won an All Ireland medal whilst playing club hurling in Gorey (Malachy Travers take note). He was a fat mess for the majority of his career. Average for all but about two years of his career and that is how he should be remembered.

Another Wexican on the take it appears. No surprise there.

Do reckon anyone will bite KIB?

Antrim beat Wexford 4-16 to 4-12ā€¦

Sickened didnā€™t get a chance to do my fiver double with Waterford.
Boyles had the 2teams completely overpriced 9/2 and 3/1 I think, the clowns.

That canā€™t be true. Who the fook fixes their prices? Bandage?

shite fooking result. 4-2 to 1-2 up after ten minutes, and outscored 3.14 to 0.10 for the remainder of the game. with a start like that, we should have been pushing on and securing the win. impossible to tell the game from Spratss brutal commentary, seemed worse today than usual. ā€˜GOAL for Wexford, oh no, no, its a point. Oh wait now, it was wide.ā€™ Absolutely useless.

Itā€™s true allright a load of people were on about it, they were way bigger than anyone else.

Didnā€™t you stand up for Gerry Quinn when he was wrongfully accused of that over on AFR:confused:

FFS!

According to Radio One, they had a 12 point lead at one stage and still managed to blow it. Canā€™t wait to hear the excuses - I assume the strong wind will be one of them.

To paraphrase the Carslberg ads: when Wexford do defeats, they do the most embarrassing defeats in the world.

Welcome to Wexford, Colm Bonnar. As of today youā€™ll have a proper idea of the monumental task you face.

DOC was a massive loss at centre back

did he not come on as a sub ?

Should have started Art surely?

what was the score when he came on ?

Is that two years in a row being beaten by Antrim? Were they missing their Cushendall lads aswell?

The decline of another former hurling power continues at a rate of knots.

It must the weakening of the club championships with all the money grabbers heading off to Dublin.

Dublin, America (last summer) and who knows where else. A good man in John Meyler was wronged last year. The chickens are merely coming home to roost.

Not sure if iā€™d go that far.

 sure why not

to answer some of the questions there quickly,

think Antrim had about 4-11 when DOC came on, so cant be blaming him for anything Art. A bit petty really to be trying to do so. Travers got a yellow card and DOC came on for him late enough into the game. It was well lost before he was there, and there was enough goals shipped without trying to blame hime for that (altho you did try blame him for shipping goals in a game he didnt even play so  )

As for the other, yeah, they beat us last year too, a game which pretty much relegated us. we had beaten Waterford and drawn with Dublin, so a win over Antrim would have assured 1st Div hurling. Cushendall players were playing, but Iā€™m not sure how many, or if many more should have been.

Bandage, did you get to the game? Could you throw up a report?
