no, left back in the changing rooms
defintely. was consistent there last year once settled into the role, and like I said over ont he supporters site, has the physicality to be a main stay at centre back. good under a high ball, and can have good distribution too. Kenny is a good player too mind, but more suited to the wings Iâd have thought.
but then again, DOCâs defensive record and goals conceded is shambolic isnât it Art?:D:p
I love the way you just make these statements Art without backing them up with reasons why. Its as if DOC stole a woman off you down in Courtown a few years ago and youâve never forgiven him.
youâre the one with a bitterness record about the harbour !!! were you taken down the burrow road by a girl who didnât put out and then nicked your wallet?
gman: I just donât see it with DOC, there must be other options in the county ?

but I dont know what you want to see. he played well last year, and especially as it was a new enough role for him. dont know what else you want in a player. and its not as if we are blessed with bucketloads of players for centreback or anything
The 6 backs would get blown away physically by most of the top teams. Richie Kehoeâs probably the biggest of them.

They played two games against Dublin last weekend, as both counties are still trying out players and carrying big squads. The understanding was that it would be more or less first choice teams taking on each other, with the second strings playing too. Wexford had about 11 or 12 recognised starters playing with their stronger team and won it by 8 points. However, Dublin seemed to be pissing around a bit and had a mixture across both teams and they won the other game. Dotsy OâCallaghan scored a shitload for their âsecond stringâ apparently.
Your are a class act bandage.
Is there anything about Wexford that you do not know ?

So the fuck am I
FORMER Wexford star Ger Cushe has been appointed as Kilmacud Crokes new senior hurling manager. A member of the Wexford team which won an All-Ireland in 1996, Cushe has since been a selector for the county seniors when they reached the 2001 All-Ireland semi-finals.
Expect flaking of hurls into the backs of speedy dodger type forwards to be flavour of the day.
I forgot to mention yesterday that thereâs a protest march from the bullring in Wexford town tomorrow to the gaa offices in Wexford Park over the reinstatement of Malachy âtraitorâ Travers who as KIB man exclusively revealed here during the week told his club to âfook offâ when he joined Ballyboden.
Be interested to see how Cush does with Kilmacud. One of the most underrated full backs ever to play the game.
Heâs been involved in Wexford set ups in the past hasnt he Mac?
Cant believe you wont admit that Cushe is timber flaking hatchet man

As the article says MBB, he was a selector in 2001 which coincidentally was the year DOC OâConnor was nominated for an All Star. He may have also been involved in other years.
Cush wouldnt know how to flake timber, he was a gentle giant who never pulled a dirty stroke

Ah right, youâd think I would have read the article, I never went past the first line, apologies.
Cush was, and always will be a timber merchant, he shouldnt be let within a 10 minle radius of a hurley.

No problem at all MBB, apology accepted.
Cush was one of the greatest full backs of the 90âs, never got the credit he deserved. Brian Lohan and Tom Feeney werenât fit to lace his boots.
Weâre wearing newly designed jerseys in Belfast today apparently. Tight fitting, all yellow, with purple numbers. This doesnât bode well.

The players seem to do the dirty work in Wexford with regards to heaves etc not the supporters who turn up in their droves* to watch the county football team in Croke Park
Interestingly Ger Cush won an All Ireland medal whilst playing club hurling in Gorey (Malachy Travers take note). He was a fat mess for the majority of his career. Average for all but about two years of his career and that is how he should be remembered.
Another Wexican on the take it appears. No surprise there.
*not
Say it ainât so⌠please!
