Something about it coming up to lunchtime on a Thursday and realising youāve only half a days work left this week. Will you be down in the park this Sunday Gman or are you bothered?! Or will you make the trip down to Cork? Youād expect the hurlers to have enough in tank but Iād worry what might happen the footballers against them Cork coonts.[/quote]
Cork are training tomorrow night as well i have heard, mioght slow them down a bit, who knows. Iād expect a Cork 6-7 point win.

not sure about sunday. might be around alright, but am coaching young lads again so if its a nice day again I think Iād prefer to stay out and go for a run instead and listen to the games on the radio, even if it does mean listening to Spratt. Cant make it to Cork unfortunately for that reason. Hurlers will win handy enough in fairness, and the footballers you never know. they are still coming back on the right track again tho, and I think the training schedule more than anything has messed them up.
Your very quiet on Good Counsels performance last Week GMAN,they were deadly on the field, not so hot on the line however nearly fucked it away infact, what do ya think?
I know that alright, but you can only play with what you have. They started training pretty late and have been going tough at it so far. In the games they have played, they have conceeded a shitload of scores coming up to half time, and coming up to full time, so its as if they are lagging coming up to the intervals in games. Might be a mental thing as much as anything tho, but probably isnt helping.
I couldnt make it unfortunately link, we had a league game down for pretty much the same time as the Counsel match, despite a couple of club players involved. But our club is stupid enough anyway that most of them wouldnt have known the game was on or that even the lads are part of the squad in a Leinster hurling final. Could have changed the match for an hour or something at least. Iāve seen them play this year a couple of times, and the full forward and full back lines seem very dominant in games and the strongest links on the team. As you say, probably still a bit of football mentality in the players moreso than management, sure Iād say miley wouldnt know a football if he was hit by one. PJ I suppose would still have a bit of it in him alright. Good chance for them to do well now tho.
No, hammered them - blaas not the best (or near !!)
I donāt particularly like football, but the club had 3 lads playing so I went down to watch. The first half of football by Wexford was great, if Ireland can move the ball at that pace vs Wales we would destroy them. I have to say that football is not that bad a sport if there is no pulling and draging.
He managed this team at under 16 and they were unbeaten in leinster. Last year no one expected anything from the u-21ās and he got them to a leinster final. His record with Good Councel speaks for itself and he won Horsewood their first county football titles in living memory.
He is probably one of the best managers going at the moment. A lot of pressure was put on him to go for the senior county position prior to Jason Ryan but he said no due to family commitents.
The man knows his stuff and has a very good crew of young lads this year, watch this spaceā¦(hopefully)
Magnificent home victory for the hurlers against Westmeath. It finished 3-15 to 2-14. Was anybody at this?
The footballers continued their shocking start to the season and suffered yet another heavy defeat. Cork were always in control after an early goal and won easily by 1-16 to 0-7. Was anybody at this?

There is something seriously wrong in the Wexford hurling camp if (a) they beat Westmeath at home by only 4 points, and (b) if they conceded 2-14 to this opposition.
The āGang of Fourā and their supporters on the panel who were instrumental in removing Meyler, need to take a good long look at their own shortcomings before they start pointing the blame towards the management team, as they did under previous regimes.
I donāt know what the team was today but the tallies weāre conceding are indeed pretty worrying. There are some things that are obvious - Richie Kehoe is not a full back and we need defenders like Roche and Rossiter to come back in. Stamp might even be needed in the half back line rather than further upfield too. That said, we still shouldnāt be giving up 2-14 to Westmeath, 1-14 to Laois, 1-11 to Kerry and 4-Whatever to Antrim.
