Ayh, sure be hockeyed ye out the gate the same years, so you could say thatā€¦

Art foley, more mong than man:p
3 & 4 years ago, sure why donā€™t we just go with whoā€™s won more all irelands ??

last time we played ye was 07 and we won

the puke more arse ornament than NCC

2007?, you are hardly using the league as the barometer:rolleyes:

well seeing as cody takes it as seriously as possible and he isnā€™t doing to badly then yeah.

howā€™s mike mac doing not taking the league seriously ?

Kilkenny have a panel strong enough and with enough competition to take it serious, can you name me any other team that took it seriously this yearā€¦Dublin maybe, and that is pushing it, as they have experimented a nice bitā€¦

Come back to me when the champinship is over art and we see how Clare have done, hopefully we will get wexford in a qualifers, twould make my summerā€¦

tipp have taken it seriously, but if wex meet clare sure weā€™ll bet a few pints on it:cool:

We willā€¦

I donā€™t think tipp have taken it serious, I doubt that Sheedy set out to win the league like he did last year, they have given pretty much all the panel a decent bit of game time and have been missing a good few lads with injury

Wexford beat Dublin well in the minorsā€¦

10 point win
would have been there but for PTSB ruining my fucking weekend :mad:

Great stuff from the minors today. They were much the better team and dominated in every sector throughout. They looked really well coached and played a good brand of hurling.

We led by 0-8 to 0-4 at half time, with Liam g McGovern scoring three excellent points from play (heā€™s a quality player). Dublin got a goal early in the second half but we responded immediately with a run of points and a goal of our own, which was well taken by Ian Byrne.

You wonā€™t actually believe this but we have a bulky centre/full forward, Craig Doyle, whoā€™s really strong in the air and he knocked over four very good points. He was interchanging with Padraig Farrell but did most of his damage inside.

The defence was strong and Oā€™Hanlon and Gordon were dominant in the central areas. Dublin had one impressive midfielder but the Wexford pair won the duel overall. Our captain, Benny Barron, has an astounding name - it has to be said.

The half forward line contributed 9 points from play and Niall Murphy was very accurate on the frees and Ian Byrne worked hard before finally getting his rewards in the second half.

Scorers:
Niall Murphy (0-7, 0-6F), Ian Byrne (1-1), Liam g McGovern (0-4), Craig Doyle (0-4), Diarmuid Oā€™Keeffe (0-1), Brian Doyle (0-1) and Padraig Farrell (0-1).

Theyā€™ll obviously need to keep working hard, build on today and improve on it but it was a very good start to the campaign.

'Mon the Wexford.

bandage do you sit at matches with a pen marking who scored what so you have it for your match reports ??

look forward to reading reports of moro game over the biffo as have a game at half 2 myself which is a joke

I generally have a pen in my jacket pocket and I mark the scores as they happed.

As any proper student of the game doesā€¦them small biroā€™s from the bookies are the only job for itā€¦

Played against that Niall Murphy lad a couple of years ago when he was only 16-he was superb back then. Heā€™s a son of former Wexford hurler, former U21 manager and senior selector Johnny Murphy so he didnā€™t lick it up off the stones.
As I said before, when these lads were U16 they were beating all round them so hopefully they can continue to transfer it in this grade.

Offaly are flying at the moment 1-5 to a point up after 11 minutesā€¦

Why was Fitzhenry dropped

twas an own goal:rolleyes:

I missed that, did yourman get a yellow or a red

missed it too, what happened ?

Wexford fullforward pulled across the full back, the ball was long gone, at least i think that is what happened, only saw it in passingā€¦

Think Banville was fullforward, presume it was a red as wexford didnā€™t bring on a replacementā€¦

Offaly have a couple of lovely forwards, a few of their scores have been exceptional

banvilleā€™s still on the pitch, so I doubt it was him, will have to wait to half time.

same old mistakes from wexford, simple handling errors and not just pulling on the ball when itā€™s on the ground

need a serious talking to at half time
