Wexford GAA 2009

Was Jim Berry very poor for Wexford?

Came on at half time for Banville. Got one good individual point after a catch and run but then had a pretty poor wide. Also, handpassed the ball straight to a Clare lad under little pressure at one stage and that was about the limit of his involvement.

Clare commentary team didn’t think he was up to much

Whatever happened to Andrew Shore? Is he injured or just a bit useless?

Yeah, wasn’t a factor - the Clare half back line was well on top in the second half.

I’m not sure that I should say.

andrew shore got injured in leinster u-21 game against dublin i think it was and damaged his ankle(i thinkk) i know he was on crutches possibly still is from the injury

What exactly did bugler get sent off for?

Puke, I was staring out into the middle distance and was in a strop for the last 10 minutes so I didn’t actually realise he was sent off until I scanned down through the Clare GAA thread earlier.

I didn’t really see the full incident either but one of your defenders was coming out with the ball and Peter Atkinson basically had a frustrated swipe at him. Bugler was first across then and threw a few shapes and the ref ran in and separated them and booked Atkinson.

We were chatting amongst ourselves then and he must have sent Bugler off but I didn’t see Bugler doing anything other than confronting Atkinson and giving him a few jabs with the hurley. Harmless enough really.

Poor auld Bugler has no luck when it comes to the ref’s

He’s got lovely tanned legs though.

Senior game was very frustrasting to watch. As Bandage already stated, some of the changes bonnar made were baffling. Game is in the balance and he brings on Peter Athkinson? No matter how bad any of the forwards were playing, i still wouldn’t have brought him near the team, i think he’s pure muck.

Also, can anyone who was there, please explain why Wexford’s ball handling skills was so bad, i lost count of the amount of times Willie Doran, Malachy Travers and the rest dropped simple balls, was completely shocking for inter-county hurling. If we were in Febuary - March, you might say right ok, there only getting back into the swing of things, but its fucking July were in, nearing August.

Lads looked like they didn’t give a bollocks today. Any cunt that shows that attitude while wearing your County jersey should be fucked off it for the next day and asked are they really up for whatever is thrown infront of them. Fuck all the whinging, just get on with it.

Wexford already won a match this year Kev-same amount as Caaark.

Well said, Gav.

:D:clap::smiley:

Exactly, and we are shit.

at least we didn’t go on strike…

This relegation farce will continue on Friday night apparently. Seemingly, neither Wexford nor Antrim will be relegated but they’re playing the fixture anyway. Both counties want to have club activity next weekend so Friday night in Parnell Park is being mooted to allow a full programme of games over the weekend.

Any word on the local football games today? Powers had some prices up so I’m keen to find out how Bannow Ballynotty got on.

A day of surprises, not sure of the scorelines but Gusserane lost to Taghmon by a point and are now out.
Catletown beat Horeswood so Taghmon and Horeswood meet in last game with winners joining Castletown in quarter-final.

Ballyhogue beat Starlights by a point and are now through. I heard Kilanerin were beaten by Sarsfields so if Sars beat Starlights in the last game they go through and Kilanerin go out.

Bannow also beat Clongeen, i think it was by 6 points.
