Wexford GAA 2013

as far as I am aware there is no citing commission in the GAA.

They cccccccc used to retrospectively ban lads for foul play but maybe that practice has ceased.

Midlanders are awful people.

Daití Waterswas cleared of the Red Card he received in Monday’s game versus Westmeath and is free to play against Galway on Sunday next in Rd 6 of the NFL Div 2.

His sending off when Wexford were 5 points ahead was a ‘game changer’ and may well have cost Wexford footballers a chance of promotion. They need a victory on Sunday next to get back in the hunt.
good news that he is available for the last 2 games, but it proves what an incompetent fucktard of a linesman and ref fucked us over in an important game that we were well in control of, and that decision cost us a win, a decision now shown to be completely incorrect.

The officials should be missing games for making calls like that.

Do you know the linesman? Derek O’Mahoney of Tipperary - he either guessed or lied to get Waters sent off. Inexplicable and inexcusable either way. Spent a good twenty minutes trying to find him online yesterday to send abuse his way. Cunt.

I know him alright.

Out of interest, how was he cleared if there were no cameras at the game? Did the ref admit he made a balls of it?

Dont know Mac, just posted the link from www.wexfordgaa,ie …no source there

The administrator chap on the Wexford supporters site says video evidence was used. Maybe we had Denis Cadogan filming it or something.

presume the footballers get their games taped.

Possibly, but citing video evidence at a game where there were no official media cameras is surely a first no? Or maybe I’m that out of touch that its a regular thing now? The lads that record games for the teams would hardly be that official would they?

how official do you need it to be?

I imagine if it shows the incident clearly there shoulnt be an issue.

WHERE THE PROPOSED PENALTY IS NOT ACCEPTED
In order to refuse the Proposed Penalty and seek a Hearing, all the Defending Party needs to do is
to state that Party’s refusal in the Reply Form.
If the Defending Party has any special request(s) (e.g. if the Party is, or the Party’s witnesses are,
unavailable on any particular date) these too should be stated, so that the Secretary of the Hearings
Committee, who will have to set a date for the Hearing, can accommodate the request(s), within
reason.
CLARIFICATION OF A REFEREE’S REPORT
The Defending Party may request that Clarification of a Referee’s Report be sought, and if the Party
does, the Competitions Control Committee must comply with the request.
To take an example, the Referee’s Report may be based on information given by his Umpire: if
the Defending Party has video evidence showing that the Umpire was not in a position to witness
the alleged infraction, it would be appropriate to have the Referee clarify whether or not he got his
information from the Umpire.

Referees’ Reports: One of the principal exceptions to the general preference for oral evidence is the
Referee’s Report. The Referee’s Report (including any Clarification) is proof of what it says except
where “unedited video evidence or other compelling evidence” shows that the Referee has made a
mistake. There is no special manner by which video evidence should be shown. The video can be
slowed down, speeded up and so on, as long as it is not altered. Whoever is introducing it in must
provide the other side with a copy of the tape/DVD in advance of the Hearing so that they have a
chance of viewing it.

Hahaha. Lol smiley. What’s the definition of an official camera?

Any of you chaps play under Kevin Kehoe? Fairly impressive record over a few years now in making very competitive U21 teams out of minor sides that had taken kickings off all and sundry.

He is good, no doubting that, but I think the problem was more with minor set ups than with an advancement of U21 set ups. For whatever reason, we have decent competetive underage squads, that when it comes to minor, the whole thing goes shit, and then comes back around a bit at U21.

jaysus Mac, you didnt just say that did you? what’s an official camera?

Played under both him and O’Brien.

Two excellent coaches and tacticians, don’t tolerate any bullshit.

Only fault I’d see with Kehoe would be his bias towards relatives and fellow club menders.

Putting Paul Carty over minor.teams def didn’t help.

not sure how many minor teams he was actually over, but there were a lot more problems than that.

Official camera? Yeah I’ve no idea what I was on about.
