Confirmed as a sell out.
Dublin have struggled to get goals so its interesting to see if keaney stays in full forwrad…he’s lost his way a bit near end of league out on the wing…would love to see him stay in full forward and have ball lobbed in on top of him… he could run amok as he’s so powerful in the air…I get the feeling Daly and the players are sick of the sight of each other at this stage …at times they seem like a team just going through the motions…don’t know anything about wexford team but I’m not sure if Dublin would have the stomach for it if things were close with 10 minutes to go…

What was the capacity of the venue?
On wiki it says 3500 is the capacity, its surely more than that?

Nope. Much like Kildare, Louth have a cowshed for a stadium.

from what i remember its basically a pitch with a wall around it and a tiny stand in the far corner as you walk in…in saying that its 10 years since I was there…

Jesus, you’d fit more than that in O’Kennedy Park in New Ross.
Wow
yep its very basic…do you have any kids mate?
Fuck me youre one insensitive cunt. The whole board knows about mac’s jaffa problem and you just stomp in.
I was just thinking he had too much time on his hands following me around from thread to thread…
Ah lovely, no greater sight than tweedle dum and tweedle dee coming together like this
listen mate…I understand …you can keep using me as a cyber punchbag if it makes you feel more of a man…go right ahead buddy…
Is this just your gut feeling or are there noises to that effect coming from the camp? I was remarking to a cunt offline earlier (apologies stevie G) that there’s no new blood in that Dublin starting team, albeit it looks fairly strong all the same.
Wishful thinking obviously, but I was thinking along the same lines as your post - stick with them and see how it plays out when the pressure comes on in the second half. In such a scenario, will any doubts come to the surface after Dublin’s poor year last year? Of course, it needs to be acknowledged that we’re far from the finished article but we’re at home and need to sew it into them.
Getting a hiding from them in the league in Wexford Park could also add to Dublin’s complacency.
Surprised Paul Ryan isn’t starting for Dublin.
Best of luck to Wexford in both codes at the weekend.
I’m not a huge fan of the Wexford football team, but fuck me I want to hear as little as possible of that Louth accent on TV over the summer.

Why are you not a fan? Is it because of Jason Ryan’s negative tactics in recent years or some of the personalities on the team?
I’ve been there a few times in recent years and that’s about the size of it. The grounds are used by a club team called O’Raghallaigh’s and they have a decent clubhouse with a bar outside the ground. Upon coming through the turnstiles you’re at a corner of the pitch. That near side effectively has a grass bank running the length of the pitch and there’s a pathway around to the “stand” on the other side – the stand itself goes from about the ’45 yard line down to the ’21 yard line in the other half and is about 20 rows deep. There’s grass banks at either end too and Drogheda United’s ground is behind one of the goals. Looking forward to seeing what kind of atmosphere will be generated in such a confined space – it should be pretty hostile as everybody from Louth is either a former paramilitary prisoner or fuel smuggler.

just a gut feeling…haven’t heard anything from the camp…I don’t know how much more Daly’s Dublin have left to give…they won div.1 of league, got to AI semi final, then the next year tried to build on it by concentrating on training for champo and dismissing the league…they done the grueling sessions, got the hype but ended up getting destroyed by KK and then beaten by clare in championship as well as relegated to div.2 …I don’t think they have ever recovered as a panel from that… Dublin need to be hurling in div.1 the whole time from the point of view of improving their first touch…they have the fitness…but whatever is in The Dublin makeup they always lack the cuteness …I mean if you watched some of the positioning of Dublin backs , particularly tom brady, against kk in last year’s championship, it was shocking…
like I said maybe if keaney does stay full forward it might be with one eye on burying wexford early by going for goals because maybe Daly knows himself that the longer wexford on their home patch stay with Dublin the more chance Dublin will fold…
Ryan has all the skill in the world and has one of the best strikes of a sliothar I’ve ever seen but he just doesn’t seem to get stuck in when he plays…
