I’m obviously biased and the GAA is tribal at the best of times but I’ve become entrenched now. Surely all bets are off when some cunt stabs you with the jagged end of a broken hurl (copyright Wexford People), and this was the first instance of serious foul play last weekend (Ciarán Kenny’s earlier yellow hardly falls into that category). Yet Dublin did well to rise above Wexford’s provocation and ill-discipline according to Anthony Daly, Michael Duignan and a series of gimp GAA journalists who know less than fuck all about the sport. A few nasty flakes were subsequently delivered by Wexford but the bedwetting is a bit much. I’m not going to engage in whataboutery but I’ll be interested to see if Michael Duignan is consistent in launching tirades against other examples of foul play as the championship progresses. It’s easier to get stuck into a lesser known tier two county player than somebody you pal around with on All Star trips and other junkets.
I never mentioned Liam Dunne, Duignan is a being a sanctimonious prick in this little saga. He was a dirty hoore so how does he get the moral high ground… for both Wexford incidents the ball was in the general area, not that it would have mattered.
Getting back to you MBB yes Dunne flaked lads, he got a bad reputation towards the end of his career and rightly so, he was still a fine hurler.
Duignan and Daithi Reagan can fuck off.
Hon wexford.
You’re criticizing Duignan for calling it as it was. He in fact stood up for Shore too by highlighting the stabbing incident even when fat prick Des tried to move away from it. Your ire is badly misplaced.
Can you actually read?
I am criticising Duignan for being sanctimonious. Going on about how awful it was, when he was an exponent of the same type of shite…
I will place my ire wherever I feel like it.
Its Duignans job to call the game ad hes done so, he is to be commended for that, regardless of his level of cuntidtry. He refused to allow this be covered over by the usual ‘manly stuff’ bullshit. You seem to be lashing out which is your right, but you’re wrong.
He was biased against Wexford. I no doubt feel this more acutely as I am a Wexford man. As Bandage has quoted we were awarded twice as many frees yet we are vilified.
Could please stop telling me what I “seem” to be doing, I know exactly what i am doing, I am expressing my displeasure at biased analysis, no more so than i did with Eamon o’Hara when he had a tilt at Kevin Walsh.
He was biased, saying he wasnt shows the same level of bias towards us.
I believe you are biased abou his bias and that bias is clouding your view.
You can “believe” whatever you want.
You saw the programme? were wexford more vilified than dublin? even though we only had half the free count?
Wouldn’t Duignan be pals with Daly from their playing days and even their stints together as Sunday Game pundits? Those poor Dublin players, managed by his pal, were afraid to go for the ball in the wake of the vicious Wexford onslaught. A ridiculously one-sided view in light of what McCormack did at the outset. It makes no sense for Duignan to mention that in passing but then to assign all the blame to the other team. It shows him to be either biased or dim – he’s from Offaly so he’s probably both.
Very true. I can and I will.
Was Liam Dunne a pundit on The Sunday Game or am I imagining it?
do you not see the question that i asked or are you simply not answering them?
I saw highlights and in those highlights I saw Wexford more sinning than sinned. I commend Duignan for singling out this sort of foul play in our game, which he did on both sides in fairness to him. Having not been at the game, I truly couldn’t further comment on whether this was right or wrong. The free count stat is useless on its own as the frees could be minor and technical whereas the dangerous pulling across heads which was highlighted in the media told its own story.

Not that I recall, unless it was one of those one-off guest stints?
Probably mixing him up with Ruth or someone. Sound.
I think he was on the end of year panel a couple of times alright but i don’t remember him on the show as a main pundit bar that.

yes, the wexford incidents were singled out but nothing of the baiting eoin moore was getting in the corner. Even the stabbing ( by far the most serious offence of the evening) was used as a stick to beat Andrew Shore with “the bllod was up” fuck off…
-
Which was highlighted in the media, this is the point I was making. Highlight by whom? Duignan primarily and the in print on monday, after duignan’s diatribe.
In any case I have work to attent to.

I am glad you agree with me.
Duignan has been the main proponent of the ‘manly stuff’ bullshit for the last number of years so he’s to blame for it.
Duignan is biased against Limerick as well.
As the boy said above he’s a great man to have a pop off the “weaker” counties while being a forelock tugging sleveen to the likes of Tipp and Kilkenny.
