I’ll pass the message on.
Are there any lapsed posters that may be lurking that might be able to influence this? I doubt he’s involved in this carry on though.
Liam Dunne seems much more chilled out these days. Saying the right things in interviews and generally maintaining his composure and exuding confidence. I can’t help but think in previous years he would have been in the press last midweek railing against the U21 game not being postponed and taking potshots against “the suits in Croke Park”. Maybe I’m doing him a disservice but is there any kind of performance/motivational coach scripting his message?! I see Wexford GAA retweeting some bird from Tigers Eye Performance Psychology Consultancy who seems to be implying she’s been working with us.
Zero chance a corner-back will get it. MacDonald will get it if Wexford get to a semi and his form continues. Alan Cadogan is his main opponent, and Guiney and Gleeson to a less extent.
Much better for a manager of an up and coming relatively young team to be positive and calm. Start reacting badly and act like everyone is out to get you and you’d never know how lads react.
Wexford Hurling
Best atmosphere in Wexford Park since the U21 Leinster Final in the early 2000s.
Thank God Liam Óg has given up the football, always was a super hurler and he’s flying along with Conor Mac on the inside. A pity we can’t get Rory back at his best, would make some full forward line then. Feel sorry for him really, you can see he’s trying too hard to make it happen at times.
For me, Lee Chin was MOTM, mopped up everything that came near him.
In what should have been a great week was almost ruined by the release of that ridiculous video of the referee for the Laois game. What were they thinking? Plus it’s only football so no one gives a shite if we win or lose anyway.
As much as the players have been on a learning curve, I think Liam Dunne has learned a lot since he first took over too. Nothing but positivity from him since last year. Memories of losing to a 13 man Galway minor team managed by Dunne came flooding back though at the end of normal time.
Bring on the Déise!
@gaamad1996 is involved with all those lads so I’m sure he could get a message to them. I know one of the lads who tweets from the Official Wex account on a regular basis and will be saying it to him too. They’re all a bit excited at the moment I imagine!
Any information on tickets for Saturday yet? I want to avoid troubling @Dirty Hands Walter for a late bail out again.
@croppy_boy or @count of monte cristo following the Wexford fixtures emails that are coming out?
Pretty strange stuff. Telling senior clubs the weekend that games will be played but not the actual days the games will be on.
I see St James are fixed for 22 July. Hardly seems necessary at this stage of the year. If we win the All Ireland I’m sure everyone will be happy enough to go to straight knock out competition.

No clue. I’m not involved anymore.
That seems nuts though.

Gaelic Football.
A pleasure to have you beside me, bt. It was gas how us, two Americans, got so into the game as it progressed. I guess that comes with having 4-figure sums on Wexford at 11/4 though. Fucking bottling bastards.
What about next weekend? I reckon we’re fairly well settled from 1-9 now but we have some decisions to make in the forwards.
I reckon Morris, McGovern and McDonald are certain to retain their positions and Guiney is surely nailed-on to start after his impact off the bench last weekend.
That leaves O’Keeffe, Doran and Sinnott battling for two spots along with the subs who were introduced (Jacob, Byrne, Nolan, Kehoe).
I’d like O’Keeffe to play as I think he has pace, can get on breaks and can cover ground and help out in deeper areas defensively too. Sinnott doesn’t seem fully fit yet and impact sub might turn out to be a niche role for Jacob as he gets older.
Some of the subs had better impacts than others last weekend - ranging from Guiney to a couple being taken back off again for the likes of the returning Paul Morris.
I also think Conor Devitt and Aidan Nolan are both capable of adding something in the middle third but only Devitt was in the 26 last weekend.
A few things for management to ponder. We need to get the forward balance right though. I felt we had an additional “finisher” in the 6 against Dublin at the expense of a “grafter”. Dublin’s style of flooding the middle area exposed a lack of workrate in the collective forward unit that night, I felt. One of the reasons I’d like to retain O’Keeffe.

What age is Rhys Clarke?
Last year Under 21.
I forgot about Shane Tomkins in my above post. I thought he did okay when he came on. Stuck his hole in and won the ball at 2-22 each before slipping it back to Guiney to split the posts off his left from distance.
@Dirty Hands Walter I was of the opinion that you have some pretty incendiary Wexford GAA gossip. Please advised if that has been posted already or if we’re only discussing by PM at the moment.
I would also like a pm
Pm also please.
just send a PM around the clique. makes it easier.
I see Andrew Shore is looking for his hurl back too. In the aftermath of the game, someone took it off him as a souvenir.

Thanks pal. Surprised by that in fairness, hope it doesn’t explode.
