I’ll take a PM too.
On another note, I see Wexford GAA tweeted a picture of Mossy Waters warming up before a game in the county jersey with 27 on his back. This wasn’t from last Saturday was it? I thought he was months away from playing again?

The Irish Mail on Sunday (picked it up in the back of a neighbour’s car) had an interview with him the day we played Antrim. He said he returned to training with the group that week but that it would take another chunk of weeks to build up to the required level and he would struggle to feature this season. He might be available for the All Ireland Final.
Sounds like a Paul Codd like cameo is going to happen in September.
To Wexford!
I was in University in Wales with this person. She’s worked with some top level athletes over here and has been with Wexford since the start of the year.
Reading Fields of Fire by Damien Lawlor. Cody name checks Conor Devitt as the best minor centre back he’s seen. High praise.
Only catching up with this now… what was the umpire at??
Would say a couple of the lads you brought in off the bench looked like lads picked for size and not hurling ability. Can’t remember their names (not Guiney or Jacob obviously).
That clip is inconclusive.
I thought initially watching it on TV that it was a goal, but if you pause it on 0:07 it looks the balls might still be on the line or maybe just marginally over it.

It’s a goal.
John Bannon did some hatchet job on Johnny Ryan and this is one of the incidents he mentions. Some loyalty amongst refs…
In fairness to the umpire that is a very hard call to make in real time especially when you are standing a metre or more back from the goalline as the angle would be off
PJ Nolan.
He’s been knocking on the door for 4/5 years I think. Good in the air and has his moments.

Agreed. It was a goal and Bannon’s article was a disgrace.
Johnny Ryan is a poor ref, no doubt but Bannon’s rants are becoming withering. He’s sitting there with a DVD looking for mistakes to fill his column and get paid. An odious cunt who was no good as a referee himself*
*He did, however, get me a cup of tea in Pearse Park a few years ago.

Try 8 years…
Christ.
May as well give Stephen Banville another go at that rate.*

He was one of a few. Need to be bringing on lads with speed in ET.

Still playing football no?
What paper does John Bannon write a column in?
Who released the video of the “goal”? It wasn’t our Communications and Marketing Committee again, was it,

Inconclusive, my hole.
In any case, we won so it’s not an issue.
the whole of the ball is not over the line…therefore its not a goal…
