Was it him that got in a scrap with iirc a tipp lad at the throw in a few years back?

I think I’ll go to Gorey tomorrow to see our lads play DIT*.

*I will not be going to Gorey tomorrow to see our lads playing DIT.

This is football. Not signing in. When are we in Walsh Cup action?

It won’t be long now.
Said the monkey who cut off his tail.

Dreadful typo.

I was going to go to this, but wasn’t bothered when I saw the team. Are any of the Walsh Cup games on in Gorey do you know?

I don’t know, pal. I can’t even recall who we’re playing in it.

Wexford cruising. 3-17 to 6 points.

What’s this in?

They’re losing the football 10-8 now anyway

Wexford 0-14 DIT 1-12 (FT).

Last gasp winning goal for DIT. Wexford got a string of late points to take the lead before the goal concession.

How did we play, @briantinnion?

Ben Brosnan and Paddy Byrne both stood up to the mark when needed for Wexford. Wexford had five decent goal chances but failed to execute them. DIT report to have one of their worst teams in nine years. The only player who was part of their first-15 last year, Conor Grimes, was black-carded after the first quarter-hour. Their main men were Darren O’Reilly (Dublin), Conor Madden (Cavan), Cathal Compton (Roscommon) and Paul Brogan, one of the Brogan brothers. Centre-back Kieran Butler looked like he dislocated his elbow half-way through the second-half. Another injury was captain Ciarán Lyng. It was a mixed team altogether, after the game David Power said that he hopes to make a number of personnel changes for Wednesday’s game against Carlow IT.
