its not as simple as that, theyd start playing and training in riverchapel in the first instance and then later on when it gets more competitive theyd go to ballygarrett.
So it’s one club?
probably your feeble attempts at gaining any sort of validation or attention by trying to insert your worthless self into the conversation.
I’m not seething at the transfer issue at all, its the pointless discussion about 2 clubs who are one club and have been for over 35 years thats driving me demented. I should have known better really.
not being from the area, I wouldn’t expect you to understand
aye, thats it alright.
it certainly is
I’m familiar with the club set up in North Wexford. The only time Dunbar could ever have played for Riverchapel alone would be in the Rackard League 7s (every school competes alone in that), aside from that everything he would have played since he was 5 would have been under the Ballygarrett-Réalt na Mara banner. Trying to draw parallels between leaving Riverchapel for Ballygarrett and Ballygarrett for Gorey is utter bollox.
Ballygarrett and Riverchapel were even the one parish up until some point in the 90s, not just two parishes joined together for GAA.
The Dunbars are Realt na Mara-Ballygarrett through and through, it’s a shame he put short term gain over family traditions.
I’m literally sitting here shaking my head reading @artfoley’s posts. He’s letting a tenuous personal connection cloud his judgment big time here.
The parallel between them being the same as Rathnure and Enniscorthy was a particular favourite of mine.
Who gives a fuck. Go and do one nosetradamus
And after this you make 7 snoutish comments
Time for some new material art.
Dunbar cleared to play in county final. The DRA met in Croke park last night and have sought clarification from the ref over the incident. So whilst they wait on that, his suspension is held leaving him clear to play today.
That’s a joke.
Not so much that he gets off if there was some technicality or whatever but that he gets off because they need clarification on a matter that happened 2 weeks ago.
Disappointing that Gorey went this route.
Yeah I’m kinda torn on it myself. The helmet rule needs to change. Badly. What he did wasn’t worthy of a red card. On the flip side, he put himself in that situation knowing those rules. The video evidence doesn’t clear him at all, in fact, it probably validates the offence more. To get off because of time issues is ridiculous and shows up a sham of a disciplinary system that found 3 sections finding it stand up, but the final one puts it on hold.
And then again, it will make it a better game, he’s been one of Goreys best players and we want finals with all the best playing. But he shouldn’t even be with them.
So yeah, not sure what I make of it all.
Shambolic in every way from the GAA again.
I know people were banging on about how it was a shame for him to miss the final but he would have had another chance next year, all he had to do was wait to see who made the final and he could transfer to one of them.
I hope the referees go on strike like they did in 01 when Gavin Buggy got off.
The rule is grand. Just don’t pull the faceguard.
At least if Gorey lose it’ll remove him not playing as an excuse.
Stupid that it’s so late in the day though. Should have been sorted over a week ago. GAA process is a sham.
On a side note, the town has been absolutely buzzing all week which is great to see. I’d say the park will be heaving today.
