Goal given for Dublin. Could do with VAR. Dublin seem to be going very well in this years Walsh Cup.
Wexford need a sweeper
We have but we have out out close to our strongest team most days including today. Other counties have been more experimental.
Mattie Kennyâs last year surely? Heâs no bad manager. Iâve never seen Wexford beat Dublin in Croke Park and I going since 01. Bogey team.
*I wasnât at 2020 league match.
You werenât at the triple header in 2008? That was a classic day of entertainment.
Fuck yes! I was! We beat Laois as well. That second game was turgid. Nevermind me, ha.
Hard tp judge mattieâs tenure. 2 big championship wins v galway and not much more. Iâd say this will be his last year unless we have a big championship. I wouldnât read much into this. Wed missing some big guns. We are close to full whack
Hopefully Wexford are coming off the back of a very heavy training session this morning.
Eoin Whelan had covid the last day so didnât tog out. Couple of Cushinstown lads subs the last day started today.
Going to be a big ask against the all conquering Limerick team next weekend. 3rd time in recent years that Wexford begin their league at home to them.
2 example there of new lads trying to force their way in and not doing the team thing. Pepper and Doyle shooting where they are not going to score and should be using the ball better. They need to realise at this level doing the right thing will do them far better than getting on the scoreboard
McGuckin there now too. Silly stuff but bit more experience will help these lads hopefully and look back at the game and see these mistakes
Not sure the scoreline was a fair reflection of the overall performance. The wides sucked the energy out of the team. Had half of those gone over in the first half then confidence would be up. Game was over as a contest when second goal went in before half time.
One to just put a line through and move on. The likes of Morris, McDonald and OâHanlon were anonymous for large parts of the game. They canât be beyond dropping if they donât pick up from here
I think Mattie is a negative enough coach and there is real potential in that team
Iâd give McDonald a pass, somewhat. He had a good day against Kilkenny. Hanlon and Morris will struggle in my opinion to stay on the team. I thought both have been lucky in previous years to be given the nod over younger lads coming through. I dont think theyâll hold them off this year. But both certainly great to have experience to bring on if necessary in a game.
Did Egan use the whole subs bench after lads? Nearly feels like he did.
Yes - all bar the sub keeper reportedly, same with Dublin
Frustrating result there against Sligo. Plenty of chances to win it in the second half. Cavan away next which is a big ask. 5 wins from 7 is a necessity to be in the mix usually.
Disappointing result today. Dominated possession for long stretches but missed a load of chances. We are lacking a bit up front and our kick-outs were under awful pressure.
Cavan will probably top this division, so a dogfight for second place. Sligo arenât great, so will lose a few and carlow, Tipp and Leitrim all dropped points this weekend, so weâre still in with a shout. Would be a bit worried where the scores are going to come from though.
Dean OâToole must have been injured when he came off? was impressed with him during the OâBC in terms of scoring.
Really disappointing today, couldnât have felt anymore like a Division 4 dogfight, forward play let us down badly.
