yeah true enough alright, enough extra stuff without having the burden of captain role too.
When playing hurling myself I never felt the captain role was that significant, ok perhaps at intercounty level its a bit different. You will always have a small group in any squad who are leaders and theyll have their say when itâs needed.

You have media obligations at county level though, and then there is the role of being the facilitator between management and players which really wouldnt be the same at club level.

How come OâHanlon is now a corner back? Thatâs a watery subs bench. Also, how come Roche ainât starting Malone? Much better than Dylan Furlong anyway.
Mark Rossiter should be an automatic first choice too. Couple of spots in forward line I think wouldnât be absolute first choices, maybe just giving lads a chance.
Hurling subs bench looks weak alright. Seems to be a few injuries going on omissions

He was poor enough when he came on last week, wonder is he coming from injury? Looked rusty. Thought your clubman might have added something to the forwards, our attacking play wasnât great against Sligo
Yeah Iâd think he should be in too alright. Mark could be injured alright, but going on his form last year he is the best forward we have. Hopefully it is just rustiness.

Iâd say the footballers is a dummy team, Malone started last week wearing 18, I think 1-24 everyone is wearing the same number as last week, 25 and 26 only changes.
Donât know if Rory will start for the hurlers if he didnât tog at all for DCU on Wednesday.
Yeah itâs a tough one. And Iâve been critical of past managers, Ryan and Davy in particular, for not playing a squad and getting players in, both would play full strength teams the while time and then we needed depth or replacements, were left devoid of options. So itâs a catch 22 situation really, albeit I think I do prefer to see lads get game time earlier in the year
Footballers most important task is to get promotion, then worry about the Offaly game. Need to kick on and get out of this division 4 bollocks. Wonât be happening for a while yet judging by last week sadlyâŚ
