Both unbelievable scores. First one was better I think even though it wasnât as far out. I could never really understand how he couldnât command a place on the Wexford team in the early years under Davy. Dont remember him playing against Tipp in 2019 or when they beat Kilkenny in Leinster final.
He played the majority of the match against Tipp in 2019 Iâm nearly sure. There was some incident down by the Cusack Stand sideline with Cathal Barrett that had the Wexford fans fuming. Correct in general though, he was in and out of the Wexford team under Davy. Often better off the bench with a point to prove.
From my POV he was a bit nuts, getting stupid yellow/red cards. Heâs starting to mature now. I was never really his biggest fan but yesterday he was decent. Week before he was the worst of the lot.
Fellas were expecting a 4 hour delay in Clonmel with the coursing sure.
No. In fairness to the Wexicans they rose to their feet and gave Limerick a savage welcome onto the field as well as the Limerick fans. That gave a false impression imo.
Did you get a nice carvery in the Whitford after Mike?
I did. I even posted a picture on the ravenous thread.
I feel obliged as a local to point out the âtheâ is superfluous.
We would say:
I had a carvery in Whitford.
But each to their own and Iâm not going to fall out with anyone over it.
Wexford compete physically with Limerick and itâs a poor game & donât be getting carried awayâŚ.
Some spot. Spent a few summer holidays there as a young lad.
How would this Whitford place rank as a carvery compared to the likes of Heuston Station, The Poitin Still, The Greenhills in Limerick, The West County in Ennis etc etc.?
Right up there.
Terribly overrated as a carvery, all jokes aside.
Precisely.
Story abound now that the former may well be out for the league. Ya never know though.
What injury has Chin?
Knee injury.
He has had persistent problems with the knee even as far back as 2013. Playing through the pain in hindsight and probably over exerting playing both codes obviously didnât help his cause. They are obviously trying to mind him and get him ready for championship. He is still a vital player for Wexford when he is on his game.
I wouldnât say both codes, he plays the annual relegation final every year for the Sarâs, thatâs about it, stopped with the county footballers 2012. Someone said to me maybe itâs a lot to do with his size? Iâm not sure and Iâm not qualified to say. Vital player 100%, exactly why he was named captain. Hopefully heâs back for the Galway game in the park.
I donât think he played any football after u21 at county level. And even at club level itâs been very much playing whenever suits rather than 100% commitment to it. He transferred football clubs about 10 years ago so probably adds to the heart not being fully committed
