MAybe i only saw the sign as i see planning has been in since 2017
Jaysus⌠could be the same in Rathnure if they go down
If Buffers Alley lose to Taghmon they could end up in an intermediate relegation final. Itâs very unlikely that theyâll go down but it would be great drama all the same.
yeahâŚ
Taghmon and Oulart have nothing to play for which leaves the group wide open.
You would still imagine Oulart will have too much for Blackwater.
Alley must be wondering how they lost to Ballygarrett who by all accounts are going very bad, think theyâve been hammered in every other game.
I think there was a Club Stag or something, paper said they were missing loads anyway
if they lose, they need Ballygarret to beat St James to avoid the relegation final. Ballygarret have them on the head to head and they have St Jamesâ on the head to head. Adamstown though are in the relegation final and not going well either, I do expect it to be a black and amber final for both teams.
@Bandage as said, a 5 point win for the Harriers will keep them safe, and if results go their way, they could sneak a 1/4 final spot. A win and they need other results to go their way to avoid the final. A loss and they are in the final.
lots of teams everywhere missing players for one reason or another. Bunclody by all accounts missing 7 starters, and Fethard finished their game against Adamstown with only 5 players who started senior last year. Between injuries and players away, teams will always be missing some, its how you handle it is what makes the difference at the group stage. Get through that and get them back and hit it hard in the knock out.
Any more word on changing the hurling football club split yet?
As in, play the football championship first for a change.
LolâŚ
some hope of that iâd say, it would be delightful, in truth i think it would lend itself to a better hurling champ teams would be fitter going into it albeit the touch might take one or two weeks to come goodâŚ
One thing for sure is that absolutely no one is kicking ball,
Theyâre in the process of flattening the pitch as well. Tâwill be some job seems itâs literally on a hill.
That never impeded @Monkey_Allen in HoreswoodâŚ
Belfield used to be some craic, the ball would hop back over you on the slope to the sideline or take a massive hop in front to square at the town end.
Yeah, great sod but shocking playing surface for years
walking in at the corner of the ground you wouldnt see the far corner at all. some hills used be on it.
The real story here is the demise of the rural club. Thatâs a nationwide problem though, not just Wexford. Looking at those 12 clubs in senior grade, only Cloughbawn and St Anneâs would probably be classed as very rural clubs. Just looking at the Wexford roll of honour, Rathnure (16), Buffers Alley (12), Oulart (13) accounted for 41 of 50 on the roll of honour between 1967-2016. Incredible that all 3 could be out of senior grade in 2023. Rathnure, I believe the only club in Wexford never relegated from senior ranks.
What do you class as rural?
Ferns would surely make the cut as rural too.
And oylegate, Crossabeg is not exactly a metropolis either
PJâs Diner must push Oylgate into the metropolis category @ChairmanDan has created. Even St. Martins would have a few farmers hurling.
