You’d nearly be considered lucky to be missing this one. BDE must be looking to replicate the Limerick template from last season. Awful league followed by a gradual improvement in every championship game culminating in All-Ireland success. He did say we weren’t going to take the league as seriously this year. Thankfully the victory over Westmeath probably ensures safety. Small blessings.
Thankfully we’re not in the Munster championship. Although I’d be worried Dublin under MO’D could oust us from that coveted 3rd spot in Leinster.
Listening to Spratt. Billy and Tom saying there was too much space between the fullback line and the halfback line. Also we gifted Clare 3 goals. Clare shooting from all angles with the wind in the 1st half.

Thats some bating though in fairness. Maybe finally some lads have played themselves off the team.

I find it all a bit strange. Lets take Liam og for example, he did an interview with Wex tv after the Kilkenny game saying he wouldnt be ready until the Clare game, hes played all 3 league games.
That result is shocking but are we taking this league seriously? Im not making excuses for the lads but we’ve been crying out to try these ypung lads, at least they are getting games.
Not ideal to have so many regulars out.
A real throwback to league results from the mid 00’s. We’ll be primed to scalp Kilkenny in championship from the long grass like in 2004.
It doesn’t get any easier either with Limerick (A) and Galway (A) coming up. The one thing you’d have to say about Davy is that his system eliminated the soul destroying hammerings. We rarely lost by more than 9 under him and never lost by more than 13.
Cork?
Oh yeah sure we played Galway (H) already. It’s Cork (A) and then Galway (A) in championship.
At least TK kept his hurl away from Shane Recks balls today.
