Theyre flying in training.
Lohan has the banjo pluckers purring. Is there an All-Ireland in them at a big price?
No.
Limerick bate them by 6 points a couple of weeks ago.
Clare had to be gone by half six.
Hard to know, they really put it up to Limerick in Munster last year but were a rabble vs Kilkenny in AI semi final.
Down under apparently.
I’m buzzing here tbh
That pretty much sums it all up for me. Can’t be arsed with the league. We were the best team in the group stages last year before we got our arses handed to us by Waterford.
Forgiven for?
What’s the point of being strong in the league and mediocre in the championship when you can be brutal in the league and mediocre in the championship?
We needed to blood players but it’s generally easier for new players to make a positive impact when there are established players all around them, i.e. when you’re trying out 2 or 3 and it’s an otherwise settled team.
I dunno if some of these lads will get up to the standard but it’s harder for them when a clutch of them are being thrown in together.
Sounds like a few got dropped from the panel following the game yesterday.
that’s fairly scathing, wonder who got dropped?
I feel sorry for Conor Foley(Horeswood) here, he was wing back there on Sunday he’s only 18 as far as I know and has a bit to go with s&c, hes light. What a shit storm to walk into…
Bet that game in Cork will be a classic now.
The problem with Wexford hurling is that by and large there isn’t enough interest in the game in the county.
The attendances at all bar the big days are piss poor. 7,000 for a division 1 league game with only 2 home fixtures in the competition. It’s cat.
This is reflected in the lack of interest in under age hurling and the various structures in the county.
And sure that’s it. A lack of the sort of unhinged passion needed to be successful. Sure the Kilkenny lads are simple because all they want to do is hurl. Yet they keep competing with seemingly shit/average teams.
Surely the post Davy dip to take into account also?
Not really.
We happened across a good crop that are now in the 30/31 category.
The sheer size of the lads coming into the team on Sunday was frightening.
They are absolutely tiny in comparison to newbies in other counties. It’s actually hard to believe.
I’d say no Leinster U21/20 title since 2015 is a bigger issue. A good few of the 2019 Leinster minor winning team on the panel now. Those lads are still only 20/21 so yet to fully develop as inter-county hurlers.
