Neil McManus is always acting the tramp against Wexford. Should have got the line yesterday.The same thing in the league two years ago. Carrying on from Ciaran Barr in terms of Antrim players who act the bollocks against us.

Conor Mac came on and did the sum total of fuck all. He took a shot at one stage from an awkward angle when facing away from goal when he had a man to pass to. He went to pass to Rory later and gave a scuttery bobbly ball on the ground that went over the sideline. Dwyer and Lawlor made far more of a positive impact up front and id have both of them ahead in the pecking order.

There’s an argument to be made that Conor McDonald was a better hurler back in 2014 as an 18/19 year old than he is now. He’s regressed if anything. I wouldn’t have him that far down the pecking order personally but Oisin Foley and Cathal Dunbar’s attacking output yesterday means he’s probably starting on the bench next week in Croker too.

What’s the story there? You sure he’s not overage? He was centre-back on the minor/U17 team in 2019. That’s 4 years ago so I’d imagine he’s 21 this year.

I just think the work rate and team effort is far more prevalent in Lawlor and Dwyer who will run all day and when they attack, they go right at the defence. Mac is a target man for a high ball and whilst he can take a score, he wants his score whereas the other 2 will make sure the team scores. I know im being overly critical of Mac here too, but i just dont think his performances for quite a while have been deserving of regular starts.

Ah dont be worrying about that bud. Sure i saw some clown on facebook swear that he was told McGuckin is related to BDE and it was true, lots of lads out there think they are in the know and are only spoofers. Best way to assess these is to judge your sources, and know not to trust them again!
