Wexford GAA 2024

Cause a fuss anyway.

But sure itā€™s a roooool. Itā€™s in the book.

The referees tally is final, scoreboard shouldnā€™t matter.

Definitely lads putting in a big effort all year shouldnā€™t have their year ended in those circumstances.

Yeah, he had it wrong. It went to penalties rather than him calling it a win. Iā€™m not sure why or how he could have had it wrong, or why an umpire doesnt keep track too. Basic shit that youd expect, but somehow not be surprised at the ineptitude

You have to admit that was a pretty spectacular dead ball performance from HWH Bunclody.

These things even out over the course of a season

They do in their fuck.

Ah they do so they do

One of our lads got to play mini games at half time in the Naomh Eanna / Harriers game today so I suffered through the senior game.

An awful standard of a game. 49 year old Richie Kehoe had Conor Mac in his pocket for most of the game. Chin was sent off for a straight red for a semi pull on the Naomh Eanna keeper as his hurl was being held. 2 lads were stretchered off in the first 15 mins from both sides.

15 man Naomh Eanna for most of the 2nd half played their extra man in front of the full back line while playing with the wind. To top this, they played 90% of the 2nd half with only 1 forward in the Harriers half. A lot of huffing and puffing around the middle and big aimless useless balls lofted long to noone and often wide.

Harriers ran out of steam late on and gave away a few very soft frees, one of which Jack Cullen buried for a goal having missed a penalty in the first half. Ref could have blown for a draw but played away and Naomh Eanna got a point from Jack Doran, who everyone thought had been shown a red card during the 2nd half.

Martins could give Naomh Eanna an awful trimming in the semi final, with a bit of luck.

49 , serious?

Ah heā€™s max 40 Iā€™d say. I was trying to draw @Bandage out but he didnā€™t bite

Ah right. Surprised with Chin to get a straight red.

Were you at it? Iā€™d love to see a replay of the incident. Looked like a clear striking motion in real-time but the type of thing that could be completely wrong when slowed down

Heā€™s 38 lads

Any word on if fethard got a replay out of the hurling? Seems like they have a good case.

@Gman is the man to ask but asking him likely means heā€™ll just complain about the ref again

That fucking refā€¦

Anyway, no word yet. Itā€™s mad that the best case scenario for Fethard in a game they scored more than their opponent is to be offered a replay of the game.

Oulart 3-13 Cloughawn 2-14 in the relegation final. A repeat of the 2016 county final. Oulart were leading by 8 before Cloughbawn mounted a comeback in the final 20 minutes. Oulart have a good crop of minors preparing for a Premier replay against Glynn-Barntown which will supplement their options next year. Cloughbawn will be left to rue their bad luck again after 2 wins in the round robin and two narrow defeats in the relegation play-offs. Becoming a real yo-yo club now.

The joke of a wind in Wexford Park is a lot jokier today @Gman

Naomh Eanna puckouts more reminiscent of a shuttle cock apparently
