Traffic Jam on the N11 already. The invasion is underway. Like the poor auld Germans, I suspect it won’t end well. I wonder will Davy retreat to his bunker in Wexford park tonight!

Always enjoyed Endas articles.

The old bob o keafe cup was class

I’ve never known the Wexford hurling team to travel to Croke Park by train. They’ve their own carriage on one of Irish Rail’s match specials this morning.

Okay guys I’ve been up since 8am. I’ve had my 5 (five) km run. I’ve been to Herb Street for a breakfast brunch and pressed Wexford apple juice. I’ve been to Il Valentino for a takeaway coffee. I’ve been home for a lie down. I’m shortly going to my nearest Dublin Bike Stand to cycle to the north side and meet some Wexford comrades for 3 (three) pre-match beverages. I wish all my Wexford brethren the very best. May all your dreams come true, guys.

The hype in Wexford has phenomenal for the last week, it’s like we are in the All-Ireland :ronnyroar:

Actually lads I’m going to fill up a 500ml bottle with vodka and coke to take with me. It settled me down on the walk out from Glasgow city centre to Hampden on cup final day. Nerves are kicking in now but obviously not to the same extent as that day.

A great way to travel to a match. The only problem is finding a bike station with a vacant berth when you’re finished with it.

I’ve often arrived at the station outside the Big Tree only to find all berths occupied, and then had the same problem at the nearby station at Sherrard Street Upper, meaning I’ve had to go back to the one at Mountjoy Square.

I’ve a lovely little tradition of cycling about 2/3 the way and taking a parking spot when I see one and then strolling the rest of the way. It avoids the need to double back too.

That’s a great blend of low impact, aerobic exercise.

Like the Wexford hurlers I elected to travel by train today for a change but they do not appear to have refreshments on board. I’ve had only one coffee all morning and could really do with another.

Reason for getting the train is to ( literally) soak in the atmosphere up there. Playing Wexford you definitely sense a different buzz for this one, there should be a bit more joie de vivre around compared to those dour humourless Kilkenny supporters
