Wexford v Galway Leinster Hurling Chship 2010
Is their anything to do in Blackwater?
No
Would it be better to go out in Enniscorthy?
No
How feasible is a taxi from Enniscorthy to Blackwater at 3 or 4 in the morning?
Unfeasible
How long of a drive is it from Blackwater to Leopordstown roughly?
1 hour 45 mins

Gorey or Wexford would be better to go out in Laz. You’d do Blackwater to Leopardstown in an easy 90 mins on a Sunday morning if you take the back road up to Gorey.

You’ve taken the back road up to Gorey many times Mac, ya durty divil.

Thanks for replies gents. Can I ask then is their anything to do in Wexford town? How feasible is a taxi from Wexford to Blackwater @ roughly 3 or 4 in the morning? Many thanks.

The Opera finishes well before then Laz, don’t you know.

Can’t understand why your going to this warm-up game, its going to be like baling in the old days, a hell of a thrashing.

Wexford town would only be 20 minute drive I’d say. Enniscorthy about 30 mins.

Bandage would be the Wexford town social expert but you’d have a lot more pubs and clubs to go out in. Wexford is about 15 miles from Blackwater so a taxi would be pricey enough but if there was a few of yez you’d be ok. Doubt there’d be any problem getting one. €30 or so would do it I’d say.

Hope you’ve lumped on for a Wexford win-there’s not a doubt in my mind. Out to 7-1 now-you’d buy plenty of bales then.

I’m sure Laz wouldn’t be a fine day supporter like yourself Kev.

Boom and yer done

does anyone else apart from me actually think wexford can pull this off?

Whats your thinking Mickee?

I’d be hoping for a sunny day alright. Might go to inchodonney for a run, some sun, and then watch it in the bar. Great day out.

Ye chose to support yer county, i support my club more than the county, no big deal, i’m sure we all get plenty out of it.

Galway will roll over Wexford. They have serious physical power now and that’s what makes them a serious proposition. Wexford couldn’t physically dominate a Clare team who Galway pummelled in Cusack Park last year. Galway by seven or eight.

Wexford town is clearly the call here, Laz. Admire our Opera House under moonlight. Check out a couple of the bars on the strip - I recommend The Crown and T Morris - and then decide whether to go straight to The Stores or stop off to stare at some younger snatch in Metro 17 on the way. There’s also a casino on the quayfront for post club, which I’m unfortunately barred from. You can also proceed to Burger Mac for the end of night fight. Wexford’s got it all.

its nothing more than a hunch mac.
im not basing it on any form and i certainly wouldnt back wexico outright at 7-1 but there is somthing telling me that the wexford team will try and sew it into to galway from the off,
the game is in kilkenny, no doubt bonner will have the wexicans reminded that the arrogant locals are only showing up for an aul snigger at their neighbours plight ,to run the rule over the joe show and have a laugh at some tip coont for managing the farce.
the league win may have made galway a bit complacent and a few of them may be starting to believe the hype, Bonner is an aul cute hoor and by all accounts wexford more than put it up to cork a few weeks back in a challenge game.
ill be backing wexford +8 .

what will more than likely happen tho is that galway will cut loose in the last 20 like they did against cork
id say a final score of 2-23 to 1-12 is a reasoanble prediction if this is the case

Decent side.

Team: 1. Noel Carton (Cloughbawn), 2. Lar Prendergast (Oulart-the Ballagh), 3. Keith Rossiter (Oulart-the Ballagh), 4. CiarĂĄn Kenny (Buffers Alley), 5. Richie Kehoe (Faythe Harriers), 6. Darren Stamp (Oulart-the Ballagh), 7. Malachy Travers (Ballyboden-St. Endas), 8. Harry Kehoe (Cloughbawn), 9. Colm Farrell (HWH Bunclody), 10. Michael Jacob (Oulart-the Ballagh), 11. Eoin Quigley (St. Martins), 12. Diarmuid Lyng, Capt. (St. Martins), 13. Rory Jacob (Oulart-the Ballagh), 14. Stephen Banville (Shelmaliers), 15. Peter Atkinson (HWH Bunclody)

Richie Kehoe back from the treatment table is a bit of a surprise.

Two HWH Bunclody men in a Wexford senior hurling championship team - great to see.   :pint: :pint:

Thats not that unexpected although I might have opted for Lee myself at CB. Not that Regan’s done anything wrong this year but like a racehorse who’s let you down before, you’d be wary of putting your faith in it again at this kind of level. Then again, the likes of my lack of faith might be the making of him. Gantly in as well for Tannion is clear evidence that Mcyntire is taking the Cody approach of form and nothing else as the reason for making the first 15. That’s fair enough but in fairness to Tannion he was never a corner forward in the 1st place. If Donnellan doesn’t take control at CF I’d expect Tannion to go in there, Donnellan’s been top notch this year though, only thing letting him down’s been his accuracy.
