@Little_Lord_Fauntleroy is there anyway or recycling old trainers? Way too battered to donate to charity shop, i have a pile of old trainers that need to go but i want to know if there is alternative to throwing in the bin.

Inquire if your local recycling centre will take them.
Break them up and use them for drainage in garden pots.
Keep them as a few might need to be replaced after a breakage.
Give them away on freecycle.ie
Shove them up your hole.
