Thinly veiled “it’s fine as long as your wife is a bloke”.
Might be an ideal candidate for the 1+X
Bastards!
What’s the damage on that one pal? Biggest thing for her is the camera. If it’s a decent camera, we’re half way there!
I just swapped from an iPhone to a Sony Xperia z. I think it may be a z4 or 5?
Anyhow it’s waterproof, and fucking fantastic.
Just as well as I found it on the drive this morning having obviously dropped it out of the car late last night.
Got drowned but it cares not a jot.
There was a cheque in the case for a 10% deposit on some land back home, along with two ton cash and my main bank card.
Thank fuck the case is black rendering it invisible from the road. I’m shitting myself after the fact.
They are both around the same price, about €269, camera is probably better on the 1+1(camera I have found to be very good on it.) which overall is a better phone. If she can get over the large size it’s a very good purchase. In saying that the phone is slim(depth) and light enough, it’s length and width are pretty big but you get used to it quickly enough.
Maybe a terrorist intercepted your phone overnight.
You found it - untouched - due to be being an alright sort Flatty. Karma.
More money than sense.
I have a battery case for it in those instances. Doubles the battery.

What’s a moderately priced phone that can be used for web browsing, email and the odd app? I don’t give a fuck about a camera or social media. I just want to be able to browse TFK, set my Fantasy Football team and reply to the odd work related email. I don’t believe in forking out big bucks for this pleasure.

There are loads of mid level Androids you can look at.
Half the problem is there is an overwhelming number of Androids out there that are all similar but different.
Do you have any preferences at all?
Big battery? Big Screen? etc…
No real preference, pal… Speed I guess would be the only real thing. Though I’ve been using an old brick for the last year so anything modern would be a massive upgrade. I don’t mind going on a bill either, but again, around 20 a month would suffice. I don’t ring people, I just text, so i’m not forking out 500 notes to text people, I’ll stick with the brick to do that. I do like the look of a HTC or Samsung.
Vodafone’s own brand Smart Ultra 6 is fairly good, octa core processor and 2 GB RAM etc. Less than €200
That’s not saying a great deal.
Agree rating
Using a HTC ONE M8 myself these days. Proper phone. Wouldn’t take an iPhone again if I got if for nothing.
Jesus Flatty, how the fuck do you manage at all. I think you need a minder (carer)
You find any info or feedback on this Rtt? Considering picking one up myself. Anyone here get one yet?
Been looking at some of the options out there at the moment. S6 seems to be getting good reviews, but battery life not amazing and it has no micro SD card slot which is really disappointing. One plus x battery seems to have got worse from the one plus 1, and the specs on it are fairly underwhelming. But it’s good value for an unlocked phone. Xperia 5 seems to be OK. Micro SD slot, decent battery and fixed previous issues. Doesn’t seem to be as good as the s6, but external storage is a big plus for me. LG G4 seems best budget option, but a leather back and average battery makes it less attractive. HTC m9 is another option, but it’s speaker is one of it’s selling points but I’d usually play media over Bluetooth anyway. Anyone have any of the above or recommendations?
