What mobile phone do you have?

Buy your Mammy’s contract out.

I could do that obviously but that’s not the best outcome.

Look pal, I’m Pisces, I’ll buy your mother’s contract out for you.

Three rang me yesterday.

My contract was up on Tuesday.

Asked me did I want to upgrade the phone. Told them I’d wait another while as I’d be interested to see what the new iPhone would be like whenever it was released. ( should be soon enough)

They said I could extend my contract by 3 months meaning I couldn’t get an upgrade for another 3 months but my next monthly bill would be free.

Or

I could leave things as they are, pay my bill and basically have the option to upgrade the phone whenever i need to.

If you don’t specifically need a new phone you should look into moving to a cheaper rolling sim only deal which you’re free to do given you’re out of contract.

Very little value in new phones other than people who want the shiny new thing. That’s cool, if you’re into pissing money away.

Yeah that’s the offer I got as well. I thought they might give me a much cheaper plan as I have essentially finished paying for the phone.

I expense the phone bill and only pay half anyway so it’s working out at 30 a month

Ah but the new phones are cool.

I’ll soon find out. Her contract doesn’t fill me with hope.

Three (The Network) is down it seems

3-0 down?

The battery on the iPhone is giving up altogether these days.
I’ve no interest in spending big money on a phone and I’m willing to allow the Chinese government to surveil me if necessary.
What would you get for €300 these days?

Thats big money. Youd get an old model samsung for half that

A got a refurbished Samsung A5 for £100 last year and it does the job fine.€300 Is crazy money for a phone.

Ditto

You’d get four new batteries for that. I’d reconsider.

The refurbished Samsung’s certainly are selling well. They must have been the ones with the explosive battery. But I’ve only heard glowing reports to be honest.
