What will you be having for Christmas Dinner?

You are all wasted in your regular jobs, you should all be off getting Michelin stars

Those turkey cooking time calculators seemed way off we ended up taking it out 45 mins before they said and it was just about ok. I’d say it could have come out a half hour earlier no bother

I’d ate sprouts all day, the missus likes them but won’t eat them that often so I go all out on Christmas and go them with bacon and chestnut butter, pure gorgeous.
The cooking times for turkey are all wrong, I use a meat thermometer and the 19 pounder was ready in a little over three and a half hours, it was alright, you need a fair bit of gravy to make turkey nice.

You’re very testy this evening mate. Lighten up a bit.

I’d have no interest in working in a garage

You’d be a mug to try and cook a turkey without the meat thermometer. Even the chap in the butchers told me that this was a 4 hour turkey. But it was as clear as day after 2 hours that there was only another hour left in it. Any more and I would have cremated it.

The Christmas tipple. Have had it under the stairs for eight or more years.
Wouldn’t buy it now.
Twas lovely though.

A superb vintage.

If so, it was entirely accidental.

I’d say that was very tannic for the turkey. Had a Chateauneuf de Pape myself.

Not after 12 years, although agree with CdP choice.

Yeah it was lovely. It was a 2007 magnum.

Sounds good except for the oysters. Eating salty, fishy tasting bags of snot is not my idea of a aphrodisiac in any way shape or form.

You’ve obviously never had decent ones. Ask @Raylan nicely and he’ll sort you.

The mother in laws sausage stuffing finished me off. Couldn’t face dessert. Struggled through a cheeseboard.

I started this thread so getting alerts every fucking day but love all you degenerates. Merry fooking Christmas.

Well I’ve never been quite sure what tannins taste like, but the bottle went down easily, which is always a good sign.

Bitter

No. Tried them several times, couldn’t bear them at all. I love seafood, even the raw herring they serve in Holland but Oysters…eeeuh.

Just remembered I asked same qs 12 months ago. This was one was well received.
