Whats the best Irish radio station to listen to?

It’s a great oul country all the same

Best Minister for Agriculture in my lifetime bar none. For a Prody bastard he had a great way with rural people.
Is Keith the seriously unfunny fucker that used to fill in for Richie on the morning show when Richie was on holidays? I rarely listen to radio bar Phantom and a tiny bit of Off The Ball. It’s ruined now. Ruined.

McCormack and Doherty were excellent, I thought. Funny without straying into annoying/wacky territory and having the audience interaction the breakfast shift seems to demand without being cringey either. Played some great tunes too.
I see RTE has announced that Hector’s old 2FM breakfast slot will be taken by this seriously unfunny fucker Keith Walsh alongside Jennifer Maguire and Bernard O’Shea of Republic of Telly. Don’t think they could have handpicked a worse trio.

On the other hand, I might check out the Phantom breakfast show for the first time in a year and a half now Keith’s gone. The lovely Michelle Doherty is a presenter on TV3’s Expose these days.

Nicky Byrne will have his own show on 2FM, weekdays at 11.

Fuck - ing hell.

7-10am Marty in the morning on Lyric - The man is an insane genius.
10-12 ish Don’t usually get to listen but Sean O Rourke
Lunchtime -RTE, Heaney on Newstalk is as poor a current affairs interviewer as you will find.
Afternoon.- Moncrieff. Best presenter on radio. Nearly three hours of quality radio every day (Fridays aren’t as good).
Drivetime - RTE, occasionally Today fm.

Drivetime is good but, Jesus, do they like to paint a pessimistic picture of the economy. Some light relief every now and again would not go amiss. Matt Cooper is actually alright, interesting guests on regularly.

my listening patterns are as follows

sunday - Thursday morning - 7am- 730 AM , BBC WS neswday
driving home each evening - various Off the Ball and Talking History podcasts, newstalk app is superb
9pm-12pm weeknights whilst showering, shaving, shitting, talking to my wife - OTB

the highlight and absolute highlight is Sunday at 4pm , Sunday sport on RTE with Darren Frehill and Jackie Hurley, this continues on for the drive home,
if still driving i will then turn on the BBC WS at 6-22 PM as there will be twenty two and a half minutes gone in the second half and as a BBC WS listener i will join Mike Ingham and Alan Green for the days commentary game

That would make it 4.22pm UK time (1st half of game) which means one or all of the following

 • You’re in a timezone only an hour ahead and therefore not in Israel as you say
 • You got your Israel times mixed up as the internet is slow in Cobh and the covers been blown on your Israel lie
 • You can’t tell the time

your not taking into account what date Yom Kippur falls and its impact on daylight savings, similarly with Passover in the Spring… also i never specified at what time of year i would be adhering to the schedule in the above post,

That Bernard O’ Shea is some fucking moron

I don’t think anyone can doubt @mickee321 is in Israel. Here’s some geographic stats for visitors to TFK.

Who logs on from Holland?

That RTE show sounds like dogshit. The Phantom Breakfast still has the other moron Joe on it with the English piece Charlotte. John Neary on Dublin City FM plays some decent tunes for the commute home on Live Drive if you can ignore the regular traffic reports. Always worth sending in a prank text on a route where they have no cameras that it’s chocka and to avoid at all costs. They always read them out until some do gooder replies that the route in question is actually clear of traffic.

Not set are a great bunch of lads.

does @twiceasnice97 ever log in from The Philipines?

Probably the BDO darts fanatics.

Dutchy Holland

An upside of Byrne is the canning of that Colm Hayes cunt, silver linings and all that.

I travel to Holland a good bit with work so I’m probably responsible for some of it

Do you bring home certain special requests?
