Jim O’Neill has a programme on Today FM on sunday evenings for roasters driving back to the capital after a weekend down home.
Rte should put D’Arcy on 2fm and let Tubbers back on radio 1 where he belongs

Classic gold Sundays? He plays very good music I think although it’s rare I would listen to it these days.
I agree but his patter is just awful and he starts singing over the end of songs as he cuts them off early, or comes out with such inane comments they ruin the good songs gone ahead of them.

I must say, I never quite got the venom for D’arcy on here as I’d never listened to him on the radio and hadn’t really seen him on telly since Zig and Zag days.
HOWEVER, working that last job they had Today FM on in the office every day. Now I understand. Oh, how I understand. I wouldn’t even know where to start with describing how much of a cunt he is, how he inhabits it’s very essence. I ACTUALLY think that fat tosser Gerry Ryan was less of a cunt. Which was hitherto quite unbelievable. Quite unbelievable indeed.
I’ve a theory that he is twice the cunt when his wife isn’t around. She seems to mellow him. He really has been contrary recently. He reprimanded a team member live on air one day for not being close enough to the microphone, asking her if she had ever worked on radio before.
Whenever I heard the show it seemed to be him reading out texts from people who were crying after an interview or had some ridiculously disproportionate response
morning radio seems to be aimed at people who are lonely and who text the station who then read out the texts in a validation of each side of the relationship’s existence
maybe most radio is like that
Pat Kenny is the King of Morning Radio, just a pity his program doesn’t last longer.
