He’ll have a lovely pension
He’s no loss. I always thought he was a smartarse. Handy number opening up now for Lottie Ryan.
Dreadful news. Today with SOR is the best current affairs news radio show in Ireland.
A massive hole to fill now. McCullagh is the only possible replacement I can think of that would come close.
I know it’s part of the job description bue he was incredibly conflicted with his wife being employed by a FFG politician.
Another FFG shill he’ll be missed by official Ireland and little else. His attempt at redeeming Maria Bailey fell flat on its arse and his refusal to ask open goal questions was never raised. He then tried to cut off the next panel from talking about the car crash they just witnessed.
Fcuk him
Very disappointing news, a colossus of modern radio. One less Laois man in RTÉ now. All of Ireland will miss him.
Nonsense, he let her dig her own hole and the interview became the biggest news of that week
He let her off the hook big time ffs. She dug her own hole but he could have filled it with concrete quite easily but refused to do so. All I wanted was my medical expenses Sean. No mention of 60k claim from Sean as follow up.
He is a pale imitation of Pat Kenny.
Pat Kenny show pisses all over the SOR show.
Who’s the other Laois man? Claire Byrne?
Claire is a woman mate, did you not notice?
Cormac O’Hara is a heavyweight broadcaster. I’d say Katie Hannon will get it, and she would.
He is good ok but his slightly legalistic pomposity can grate a bit . SOR will be a loss if only for his grilling on political leaders in the 1x1s . PK still decent . Ivan Yates has his moments too . Audrey Carville is decent too.
Katie Hannon better at investigative reportage rather than 1x1s
Sure I was only jossin lad.
Is Ciarán Mullooney from Laois? Or is he Offaly
Justin Treacy is a Laois man.
Mullooly is a Longford man iirc.
Ah here, an impartial interviewer would have forced her to resign by the evening.
Resign from what ???
Audrey Carville is good alright. Can’t stand Yates. O’Hara is very serious in tone like Kenny. Hannon is versatile. O’Rourke’s versatility and his ability to be serious and light-hearted was his strength. He was generally good but I thought a real social conservative streak came out in him during the 8th Amendment campaign when he performed very poorly. If O’Hara got the job he’d be the second Galway man in a row to have it.
I don’t see how the interview could have went any worse for her
You really think she went in to that interview without the promise of SOR going easy on her?
