She hasn’t a face for radio

Was thinking she’d get it.

Probably one for the confessions thread but i find myself enjoying the Des’s island discs show at 630 every night,

Enda last night, Paul Howard now, nice while I’m tipping away in the kitchen getting the dinner ready

6:30 is night, you must be living in Alaska.

I’m above in Greenland

RTE Gold is excellent at night.

Who is your avatar pal?

Listen to the community games song, for context I believe a man called Joe Connolly was the chief organizer of the games for many years

There was a fairly malignant trend in Ireland in the mid 80s of casting people who were simple of character into the public eye and then standing back and having a laugh at them. Aiden Walshe was one such unfortunate, the Bogmen were another manifestation as was Councillor Bernie Murphy in Cork. No surprise to see gowls like Gerry Ryan in up to his neck in this modern day freak show.

Aidan Walsh got what he wanted out of the arrangement and made a few bob as well, he was a natural showman and given a platform I’d suggest that he became less of a laughing stock and what he did veered into entertainment,

Bernie Murphy was just an annoying prick.
