Had the misfortune of listening to both Coleman and Cagney for a while today. Both equally painful, woeful 
Des had a lovely 30 minutes there earlier with Michael Carruth who remains a lovely chap. Michaels choices were Another Brick in the Wall, Barcelona by Freddie Mercury and Monserrat Cabalé (naturally) and YNWA.

Desert Island Discs is a fantastic format and I’m surprised hasn’t been ripped off by more people. The BBC version is hard bet.Sue Kirsty and Lauren have superb voices,I could listen to them all day.

Ah she was brilliant during the debates. Suffered no crap from any of them.
Saying she doesn’t deserve it is proper Irish begrudgery.
Sarah Mac was gung ho attacking everybody and trying to make a name for herself, she’s a pain to listen to at times. Too adversarial. She’ll get a role out of it but there’s no way she deserved it at this stage.
And perhaps the people who’ve heard enough of Sarah Mac to fully judge her?

She wasn’t “brilliant “ during the debates . She correctly told them shut up when they were talking too much waffle . She threw the odd dig but in the main that is a relatively easy enough gig .
I don’t begrudge her the job and tbh if it means the end of the generally poor show on Monday nights then ok
