Vibe to me that they maybe view Sarah McInerney as less than the sum of her parts, everything thing appears to be there but something is missing. I prefer her on TV myself, just something about her voice doesn’t suit radio, slightly whiny.
She’ll be back anyway, might get a gig on Primetime with McCullough moving on as the young lad the other night surely won’t step up full-time straight off.
I’m a bit surprised by all this, always thought people really liked Claire Byrne.
RTE seem to be conducting all interviews on the News at 1 over Skype or Zoom or whatever, which means a lot of dropping of calls especially to TDs based in some godforesaken shithole with poor internet coverage. Serious cheapskating. Interview with AK47 there was interrupted due to a poor connection

I don’t like the way des can play none of the song at all on the podcast. BBC desert island discs can play a bit of it at least. It seems a ridiculous rule when you’re listening to the podcast on Spotify he can’t play the music for rights reasons but the same songs are on Spotify for free!
