The news headlines a couple of times. A quick sconce at the papers. The weather and traffic news a couple of times. Some dweeb talking about the business headlines and then talk shite to Dessie or Darren with the sports news. He only has to play about four or five tunes.
That’s a pity. Wouldn’t have been a regular listener but if I was somewhere in the evening and the radio was going on, he was good to fix it to.
I enjoy Ed’s songs of praise most evenings. He plays a great mix of classics, modern and obscure tunes.

He mugged us off nicely once. The other lad in the Berlingo would be an old friend of his and texted him to play us a tune. Next thing he’s calling out our names on the radio and dedicating a Celine Dion song to us. An alright sort.

All about the bantz and zanyness now. Dermot and Dave are the prototype of the modern commercial radio DJ.
I´m not a fan of them at all. Never got them. All that shit started for me with Ray D’Arcy around the early 00s on Today FM. Did my head in.

Just said the same to my pops. Radio 1 is now the only national broadcaster that acknowledges music existed before 1990.
