For lunch I had baked ham, red cheese and chopped peppers in an onion based bap. Mayo and mustard for taste. All toasted. Yummy
I had a carvery turkey, stuffing and coleslaw on brown bread and mayo for lunch. It was lovely.
Bacon, cabbage, potato and mustard on a whole-grain roll. Unreal.

We’ve just gotten a sandwich counter in the canteen at work, with toasting facilities. There’s a very good selection of salads and meats, and so far I’ve gotten:
- pesto, chicken, swiss cheese, rocket and jalapenos on granary bread and toasted
- crispy bacon, egg mayo, tomato, onion on granary
- pastrami, gherkins, mustard and mixed salad
Any recommendations so I can keep mixing this up?
Is that cold crispy bacon or hot, pal? The cold shit is awful, awful stuff in sandwiches here.
It’s cold Horsey, and to be fair it’s not the worst. They haven’t cheaped out on the inedible gristley shit that other places lash out. Plus, it goes very well with the chunky egg mayonnaise. If they had some watercress, I’d be all over that!
I could ask them to heat it, but it would be in a microwave, so funk that.
