want him to go in because:

• Nobody will really have been anywhere or mixed to a great degree since Christmas Day (9/10 days come Monday);
• 9 or 10/14 days for symptoms presenting is acceptable in the round (some places only require 10 days rather than 14, do they not?);
• Nobody with symptoms will be let in. Staff who are close contacts to confirmed cases won’t be in either;
• It’d be a statistical freak for some asymptomatic kid/employee to infect everyone;
• De Gascun says the more transmissible UK strain isn’t too apparent in Ireland;
• Children aren’t vectors (I think);
• It’s a small crèche and if a load of soft cunts shit themselves and keep kids at home then he’ll have the run of the place with very low risk

It’s very hard to find a job that isn’t on the essential list bar the obvious ones that are closed like pubs shops etc and I presume they still need someone to man their online and takeaway options.

I think it’s the same for most people:

• to use as props to garner social media post likes;
• good chance they’ll feel morally obliged to look after you when you’re old and sick.

Our fella is attending crèche tomorrow. My case was helped when he cut my head by flinging a wooden toy at me this morning. We had spoken about the case backlog and how we wouldn’t be influenced by “big numbers” being announced this evening. As sure as eggs, my life partner’s mother & baby WhatsApp groups are hopping since today’s numbers were announced. We must hold firm.
